Some people were damaged in their backgrounds, some people have deep rooted traumas from growing up that they conscience is no longer in their senses.
You can sit and debate about it, but all we know and we will continue to preach is that we live with psychotic maniacs in our communities, people with re****ed mindsets and parents who allow poverty to rule, damage and degrade their children.
KwiLali yethu, it is becoming an almost rare subject for the accused to stand in court, or in a trial - because they have been protected over and over again. Equally, it is becoming less common to give adequate support to those affected.
R**e is not a culture, it is an emotionally damaging ordeal. The child might not deal with it now, but there is something called Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and it manifests in different ways. The fact that we continue living with monsters even after they've displayed themselves says a lot.
Some throw themselves at men to soothe themselves in their teen and adult lives, some end up secluded and scared... it is devastating and the fact that we live with groomers and molesters means we have to be worried about the future of our sons and daughters.
