Taking a break to inspect our vehicles on the cutline between Maboane Village & the gate of Khutse Game Reserve in Botswana. We were with our mates of on the Khutse & Central Kgalagadi Game Reserve expedition.

The desert sand is tough to drive on, and the correct selection of gears is important to maintain a proper ratio between gear and engine. On these types of terrain, we select & drive on 4x4 High.

These types of roads take their toll on our vehicles, and it is advisable to stop from time to time to check if everything is still fine with our overlanding rigs.

Our rig Musafir was holding up very well as we were going. We almost suffered a loss of a window on our canopy during our return on the same route. The stopping and checking of vehicles made me realise that the window was getting loose. It's one of the reasons why we upgraded to our new & lighter Gomad canopy, which does not have windows.

Whilst enjoying the sights and sounds of the gentle giants of Africa at Elephant Sands, this gentleman Russel Dewar, a native of Amazimtoti, in the KwaZulu-Natal Province of Azania (South Africa) approached me saying he knows me from our social media pages.

Our travels on the African continent make us meet people whom we only interact with on social media.

Battle of the Beasts!!!

Late last year, I went to check my buddy at his workplace at Trend Tex (formerly Wookey's Fabrics) in my Kasi of Galeshewe. I coincidentally parked next to this Jeep. I whipped out my camera and took a couple of photos.

These rigs look monstrous with their modifications. However, our rig Musafir looks better😜. What do you think.
