I’ve been watching relationship conversations online…
and something feels off.
Most relationship conversations online don’t talk about love anymore.
They talk about income.
Lifestyle.
Provision.
It’s always:
What does he earn?
Can he afford you?
What can he bring to the table?
As if a man’s humanity is optional…
but his wallet is mandatory.
Men are expected to provide endlessly,
while emotional labour, loyalty, and support are treated like bonuses — not responsibilities.
Somewhere along the way, being cared for turned into being entitled,
and partnership turned into a transaction.
So let me ask — and don’t dodge it:
If men are valued for what they provide,
what are women being valued for in return?
Let’s talk.
