Orlando Pirates Confirm José Riveiro’s Departure at End of Season

"He thought I was going to push him—he was crying, begging, saying he couldn’t die because he has three children."

Siboniso Masango, the Mamelodi Sundowns fan who rescued an Esperance supporter from a near-fatal fall at the stadium, has shared the emotional details of the incident.

The Harrowing Moment

- Amid chaotic clashes between fans, Christian, an Esperance supporter, was knocked over and left dangling from the fifth floor.
- Siboniso instinctively grabbed his forearm as he slipped, but the distraught man feared he was being pushed. "Please, I have three kids—I can’t die!" Christian pleaded.
- Despite the rain and bottles being thrown at him** by hostile fans, Siboniso held on, pulling Christian to safety by his backpack.

The Aftermath: Tears of Relief.

- Once secure, both men broke down in tears. Christian, overwhelmed, cried, "You saved my life."
