The Comrade’s Marathon is the world’s oldest and largest ultramarathon, held annually in South Africa's KwaZulu-Natal province.

The 2026 event (the 99th edition) is an "Up Run" covering 85.777 km from Durban to Pietermaritzburg, featuring a 3-group staggered start format to improve runner safety and flow.

This will be held on the 14th of June 2026. We would like to wish Samuel Modise the best of luck in the race. Last year he finished at a race time of 11:42:35 which was an incredible achievement and this year he is pushing for an even better time.

Our CSX Library team recently attended the Libraries of the Future Expo, hosted by the Department of Sports, Arts and Culture in Gompo (formerly East London) at the ICC.

This event brought together a wide mix of people.The expo wasn’t just a showcase - it was meant as a policy and development platform.

The purpose of the event was to expand digital access, modernize library systems across the Eastern Cape, Improve rural access to information and technology,promote multilingual resources and indigenous knowledge preservation and build partnerships between government, universities, and tech companies.
