:Sibongile Mtyali
Sibongile Mtyali’s voice has been one of the most influential in South African radio. Her journey began in Rustenburg at Radio Mafisa, where she worked as a presenter and producer. From there, she rose through the ranks handling music compilation, project management at SABC Education, and later, senior roles across SABC radio platforms.
In 2007, she made history as the first female Programme Manager at Motsweding FM. She went on to lead Thobela FM, Radio 2000, and Metro FM, where she served as both Station Manager and Acting General Manager. In 2021, she became Managing Director of Kaya 959, bringing her radio career to over 27 years of impact and leadership.
Today, Mtyali channels her passion and experience into House of Keika, where she serves as Director. Beyond media, she’s a dedicated mentor and advocate for young women, guided by the spirit of Ubuntu and a commitment to lifting others as she rises.
