🚨 Stolen VW Polo Found Stripped in Pennyville 🚨

Police have recovered a stolen Volkswagen Polo, abandoned and completely stripped for parts near the M17 road in Pennyville, Gauteng.

Inside the dismantled vehicle, officers found a teacher’s identification card belonging to Mr. T. Dolo of Thandukwazi Secondary School in Sebokeng.

Authorities have launched an investigation and are appealing to anyone with information to come forward. So far, no arrests have been made.

The Asset Forfeiture Unit has confiscated R325 million in assets from Hangwani Maumela — including Lamborghinis, a Bentley, a R1.9M boat, and mansions in Sandton, Bantry Bay, Ballito, and Pecanwood Estate.

Maumela, politically connected to the ANC, allegedly siphoned R415 million from Tembisa Hospital contracts — originally flagged by whistleblower Babita Deokaran before her tragic assassination.

Eight Arrested in R1 Million Illegal Alcohol Bust in Amalinda

Eight suspects have been arrested in Amalinda, Eastern Cape, after police uncovered a large-scale illegal alcohol manufacturing operation. The raid was carried out by SAPS in collaboration with the Hawks and other specialised units.

On 13 September 2025, the joint task team found the suspects, aged 19–35, actively producing alcohol. All are reportedly from KwaZulu-Natal, where they had been running illicit operations.

Police seized manufacturing machines, drums, and sealed boxes of alcohol ready for distribution, with an estimated street value exceeding R1 million.

The suspects are expected to appear in court soon, facing charges under the Liquor Act and the Counterfeit Goods Act, as authorities continue to crack down on illegal alcohol trade in the region.
