South African DJ Siar Siar Mäspila Nominated for Mama 26 Best DJ at the Mzansi arts And media awards

Pretoria, South Africa - 04 March 2025, Renowned South African DJ and music producer Siar Mäspila has been officially nominated for Mama 26 in the Best DJ category, recognizing his long-standing contribution to the country’s house and Afro-house music culture.

Born in Atteridgeville, Pretoria, and raised between Hammanskraal and Mamelodi, Siar Maspila has built a respected career spanning over two decades. Known for his deep-rooted sound, cultural authenticity, and electrifying performances, he has remained a consistent force within South Africa’s music landscape while also representing the country on international stages.

Siar Maspila first gained national recognition through his participation in SABC 1’s 1s and 2s – Masters of Spin, later cementing his legacy as part of the Afro-house trio Afrikan Roots, whose award-winning music has resonated across the continent and beyond. His work has earned accolades including Song of the Year honors and regular rotation on major radio stations such as Radio 2000, Motsweding FM, Energy FM, and Munghana Lonene FM.

Reacting to the nomination, Siar Maspila expressed gratitude for the continued support from fans and the industry:
