The City of Mbombela Executive Mayor today welcomed new general workers employees to the Municipality.

To ensure a smooth transition and set the tone for a positive work environment, we today held an induction program that focused on our code of conduct at work and the importance of teamwork.

At City of Mbombela, we value professionalism, respect, and collaboration. During the induction program, we discussed the expectations for behavior in the workplace, including how to communicate effectively, handle conflicts, and represent our company values.

In addition to understanding the code of conduct, we also emphasized the importance of teamwork.

We believe that working together as a cohesive unit is key to our success.

We are proud to say that our workforce is made up of women, youth, people living with disability and we see this diversity as a strength.

The City of Mbombela Executive Mayor ClIr SE Makushe- Mazibuko, accompanied the Minister of DOJ&CD Nkhensani Mmamoloko Kubayi to Maintenance Unclaimed Monies and Maintenance Matters Community Outreach Campaign, at Impopoli Community Hall in Kabokweni, Mpumalanga.

The campaign seeks to encourage beneficiaries of unclaimed maintenance funds to come forward and facilitate the payment process, while also raising public awareness about maintenance-related matters.

In her remarks the Executive Mayor appreciated the efforts made by government and other institutions to address this issue of unclaimed funds although the problem persists.

Today the Executive Mayor of City of Mbombela Cllr SE Makushe-Mazibuko led a successful Consultative IDP Review meeting in Eastern Region.

In alignment with Chapter 4 of the Municipal Systems Act promoting participatory governance.

The meeting outlined municipal priorities for the current financial year and progress in the implementation of development plans. The session briefed representatives present about the state of municipal governance and detailed critical challenges that the organisation is facing and also highlighted to the Nsikazi stakeholders about the state of municipal finances, grant sources and work done to stabilise the situation.

The meeting further clarified the municipality’s development strategies and objectives in respect to advancing the service delivery agenda throughout the City.

In her closing remarks the Executive Mayor said, " These plans will only succeed if we work together with you the people of the City, we can only achieve more if we work together.”
