StatsSA’s latest figures show modest real progress for SA hospitality: 804 000 tourist arrivals in May, however most are from our SADC neighbours, which are short stay, retail tourists rather than hospitality tourists.

Accommodation income jumped nearly 15%, while F&B businesses also saw steady growth with a 4.5% increase.
