💙 11 KM FOR DIVAN. 11 KM FOR EVERY PERSON FIGHTING TO MOVE FORWARD. 💙

On 4 October 2026, I will complete an 11 km race for my son, Divan, and in honor of every person living with paralysis, a spinal injury or limited mobility.

Divan was only 14 when a car accident crushed his spine and left him paralyzed. Doctors gave him just a 1% chance of ever walking again.

Today, at 18, he can stand, take steps and walk short distances.
Every step he takes is proof that the impossible can become possible. But his fight is not over. He still needs rehabilitation, exercise, medication and support to build his strength and gain greater independence.

I am not running only for a medal.
I am running for every painful step Divan fought to take.
I am running for every person who has been told they may never walk again.
I am running for the families carrying the emotional and financial burden behind closed doors.
I am running to remind them that they are seen, their fight matters and hope is still alive.

💚 Even in the middle of his own battle, Divan wants to help others. 💚

Every day we see more families struggling to put food on the table. It breaks our hearts, and while we wish we could help everyone, we know that's simply not possible.

Divan understands what it's like to face uncertainty. Yet instead of only thinking about his own challenges, he wants to make a difference in the lives of others.

🌱 This August, Divan is starting a vegetable garden.

His dream is simple: to grow fresh vegetables that can be shared with families in need. If the garden is successful, every harvest will become an opportunity to bless someone else.

This is about more than growing vegetables, it's about growing hope. ❤️

On 4 October 2026 - I won't just be running a race...

I'll be running for every person whose life changed in an instant because of an accident. For those who wake up every day wishing they could simply stand, take one step, or walk across a room again.

This race is especially close to my heart because of Divan.

Watching his journey has reminded me that we so often take the smallest things for granted. We rush through life without thinking about the incredible gift of being able to walk, run, climb stairs, or chase after the people we love. For many, those simple moments were taken away in a heartbeat.

Every kilometer I run will be in honor of those who can't.

When my legs get tired, I'll remember the people who would give anything to feel that kind of exhaustion. When I want to slow down, I'll remember those who dream of taking just one more step.

This isn't about a medal or a finishing time. It's about hope, awareness, and reminding people that every step is a blessing.

I'm running for Divan.
I'm running for every survivor.
I'm running for every family whose lives changed forever.

A Heartfelt Appeal for Divan ❤️

We are reaching out with humble hearts to ask for any assistance for my son, Divan.

Divan has recently started online schooling again, but he is in urgent need of a laptop, as well as a desk and chair (or even a dining room table that can be used as a study space).

His medication and therapy have been very costly, and unfortunately my salary is simply not enough to cover all of our monthly expenses. We have also run out of food, so any groceries or food donations would mean the world to us. If anyone is able to assist with a little electricity as well, we would be incredibly grateful.

We are also looking for any pre-loved clothing for Divan, as he has lost a significant amount of weight and his current clothes are now far too big.

💙 A Quick Update on Divan's Journey 💙

Just a quick update on Divan.

To be honest, he is really struggling with the treadmill at the moment. What looked like it would be easy has turned out to be much harder than we expected. Every step takes effort, determination, and courage.

Some days are tougher than others, and I am finding it difficult to keep him motivated when progress feels slow. But despite the challenges, Divan keeps showing up. He keeps trying. He keeps putting in the work.

We are taking it one day at a time, one step at a time, and trusting that every small effort today is building towards something bigger tomorrow.

Please continue to keep Divan in your thoughts and prayers. Your encouragement means more than you know and helps him keep going on the days when he feels like giving up.
