Nthabiegh, I'm shattered. Today, November 30th, feels like the weight of yesterday's loss is sinking in. Five years of being each other's everything – the jokes, the tears, the dreams – and now I'm left with just memories. I still can't believe it's your last week after we finally made it through matric. We were laughing about being broke and job-hunting, joking it'd be an adventure... now who'll I gossip with, laugh with, vent to about the silly things? Your absence feels like a weight I didn't prepare for. On my birthday, November 28th, all I felt was the ache of missing you. You were more than a friend – you were my person.
