It's official: HBO is developing a television series based on the world of Baldur’s Gate 3.

Here are the key details announced as of February 6, 2026:

Showrunner: Craig Mazin, the co-creator of HBO's The Last of Us, is set to create, write, and executive produce the series. Mazin is a self-proclaimed superfan who has reportedly played nearly 1,000 hours of the game and completed it on Honour Mode.

Plot: Rather than a direct retelling of the game's story, the series will be a sequel. It is set immediately after the events of the game, focusing on both new protagonists and returning fan-favourite characters as they deal with the consequences of the game's world-changing ending.

Creative Team: The series is a partnership between HBO and Hasbro Entertainment. Chris Perkins, the longtime Head of Story at Wizards of the Coast, will serve as a consultant.

I’m usually skeptical of "time travel" mechanics in games because they usually just mean "press Z to undo your mistake." But I’ve been digging into the upcoming game RECUR, and it’s doing something I haven’t seen done this cleanly since Braid.
In this game, Space and Time are locked together.

If you stand still, time freezes. If you walk forward (right), the apocalypse plays out—bridges collapse, explosions go off, gravity does its thing. If you walk backward (left), you are literally reversing causality.

You play as a Postman (of all things) trying to navigate a collapsing world. The puzzles look absolutely mind-bending because you have to choreograph your movement to manipulate the environment.[You aren't just jumping over a falling pillar; you have to walk forward to make it fall, then walk backward to catch it in mid-air to use as a platform.

It’s giving me major Tenet vibes with a splash of Inside’s gloomy aesthetic.[The studio (Kaleidoscube) is known for heavy atmosphere, so I’m expecting this story to hit hard.
It’s slated for 2026 on Steam. If you like games that treat you like an adult and break your brain a little, keep this on your radar.

Verdict: 10/10 concept. I am ready to be confused. ✉️🧠

Tomb Raider 2026 has massive potential and already looks promising.

If you loved the old sequels, this is for you – they’re bringing back the soul of classic Tomb Raider, reimagined with true next-gen graphics.

If they nail exploration, puzzles, and that lonely “lost in ancient ruins” feeling…
we’re in for something special.

Lara in a new generation.
A legend, reborn. 🎮
