We are deeply saddened by the passing of Liyema Ndibi, affectionately known as Brie Lee, whose impact on the Xhosa Wave music scene will forever be remembered.

After bravely battling cancer for over a year, she has now taken her final rest. She was more than an artist — she was a true warrior, a light to many, and a soul that inspired through both her music and strength.

We are truly grateful for the years and memories she shared with us. Though her time with us was borrowed, her legacy will continue to live on through the lives she touched and the music she gave to the culture.

Sending our deepest condolences, love, and prayers to her family, friends, supporters, and everyone mourning this painful loss.

Rest in eternal peace, Brie Lee.
Your voice, courage, and spirit will never be forgotten. 🕊️
