DAVID MASHABELA BECOMES A FATHER AT 50
Radio 2000 and podcaster David Mashabela has become a father for the first time at age 50. During an interview with Mbuyiseni Ndlozi on Power FM 98.7 Mashabela revealed he became a father for the first time two months ago.
"My Mom thought there was something wrong with me. She just never told me, but told everybody else. No [there was nothing wrong], absolutely no. It was a decision. Machine u-sharp. If I made that decision, I could have a hundred kids by the end of the year. If I made that decision. I just chose not to,” Mashabela said.
He said that while he did not necessarily lose any relationships because of his stance, he had a fair share of troubles because he was not keen on settling down before achieving his goals. David went on to say having a child at an early stage would have hindered his life plans and career. Mashable also admitted he waited to make sure he was financially stable enough to bring life into this world.
