Twyg Sustainable Fashion Awards 2025
Cape Town • Last Night

What an incredible evening! Nick and I had the honour of attending the Twyg Sustainable Fashion Awards last night, surrounded by inspiring creatives, changemakers, and friends who are moving the sustainable fashion industry forward.

Although we didn’t take home the award in our category, standing among the finalists was already a huge win for us. Being recognised for our commitment to sustainability, circular design, and community impact has been deeply validating and motivating.

A massive congratulations to our category winner, Changing Facets – well deserved!

We also had the chance to reconnect with old friends, enjoy delicious food, and line up some exciting meetings with stakeholders while in Cape Town. Momentum is building, and we feel energized for what’s coming next.

Thank you to Twyg and everyone who continues to champion sustainable fashion in South Africa. We’re proud to be part of this growing movement.

It was been an absolute blast hanging out with the good people at Johannesburg today, we were privileged to be invited to be a part of their annual ChristmasMarket for their employees.

We met amazing people and made meaningful connections, after taking a break from markets for so long we had forgotten the excitement and surprise on people’s faces when they see what our products are made from ☺️😁. It’s always beautiful to see.

We’re grateful for the very generous hospitality, and we look forward to hanging out again next year.

Meet the Team: Sindie Dlamini

Sindie is the heart of our workshop — keeping the space clean, calm, and ready for us to create in. As our dedicated cleaner, she plays a role that often goes unnoticed but is absolutely essential. With three young children (the youngest just six months old!), she still shows up each day with a bright spirit and contagious energy.

Always upbeat and deeply connected to the rest of the team, Sindie brings warmth and care into everything she does — and we’re so lucky to have her as part of the Nic & Nic family.
