**Official Statement:**

The students residing in the NSFAS-accredited accommodation known as "2 Bulls" have made the decision to move out due to concerns regarding security and safety. They have expressed that their safety has not been adequately addressed by the service provider. As the South African Students Congress (SASCO) Mopani TVET College, we fully support the students' decision and their right to a safe living environment.

This matter has come to our attention, and as an organization, we have an obligation to ensure that all NSFAS-accredited accommodations meet the necessary standards. We will be conducting thorough checks to verify that these accommodations truly qualify for accreditation and that there are no questionable dealings, such as bribes or improper agreements, that may have influenced the accreditation process.

We are committed to ensuring that all proper procedures are followed and that the service provider or landlord is held accountable for the conditions that led to this situation. We will continue to advocate for the well-being and safety of all students and take all necessary actions to address this matter.

SASCO Mopani TVET College remains dedicated to upholding the rights and safety of our students, and we will provide ongoing support throughout this process.
