✨🙏 A huge thank you to everyone who made our Men’s Mental Health: Su***de Prevention Awareness Event a success!

From the organisers to every single attendee – your presence, openness, and willingness to engage made the day powerful and meaningful. 💙

We spoke honestly about the real struggles men face with mental health, reflected on su***de statistics, learned the importance of managing our time for better wellbeing, and even took part in a vision board activity to plan a brighter future.

We also shared emergency contact details, because no one should ever feel alone on their journey.

Together, we are breaking the silence, one conversation at a time. 💭🕊️

When someone shares Suicidal feelings online, it can be hard to know what to say.
The most important thing is to start the conversation. A simple, caring message or call shows them they have been seen and that their feelings matter.

Your courage to reach out can help them feel less alone and be the first step towards getting the support they need.💛

Supporting a loved one after a Su***de attempt can be difficult, but you don’t have to face it alone. Join SADAG’s Ask the Expert with Clinical Psychologist Dr Mosa Malema this Friday, 12 September at 1pm, as she shares insights on how to connect, support, and help someone take the next step toward healing.

What box have you ticked off this week?
Each square is a gentle reminder that small steps matter. Whether you're checking one box or five, you're showing up for yourself.

Mental Health Bingo because healing can be playful, too! 💜

Prevention matters deeply. So does honoring the complex reality survivors face. Sometimes there are no signs, and sometimes love isn’t enough.

Both prevention and postvention save lives. Both require communities willing to sit with the difficult truths and respond with compassion rather than judgment.

Join us in expanding the conversation this September, Su***de Prevention Awareness Month, and throughout the year.

I’ve walked with many people through the darkest valleys of their lives —moments when they believed the only way to end the pain was to end their life.

If that’s you, hear me: Your life matters. You are loved, and there is hope — even if you can’t see it right now.

The enemy would love nothing more than to convince you that you’re alone. But God’s Word says He is near to the brokenhearted (Psalm 34:18). Reach out. Let someone stand with you.

During National Su***de Prevention Month, I want to share what changed my life. Visit victormarx.com/steps-to-peace for more.

For 31 years, SADAG has run South Africa’s only Su***de Crisis Helpline – providing free, 24/7 crisis counselling and intervention to thousands of people who reach out every day feeling helpless and hopeless.

This World Su***de Prevention Day, we are urging the public to Answer the Call for Help. To keep our lines open, we need to raise R180,000 to cover our helpline telephone costs for September. Every rand donated goes directly to ensuring a call is answered and a life is supported.

💚 Whether it’s R10 or R100, every rand counts towards saving a life. Please donate today:
