[IN PICTURES] The ANC-led Agriculture and Rural Development Portfolio Committee, under the leadership of the ANC Chief Whip and Committee Chairperson, Cde. Super Zuma, is currently convening its crucial Second Quarter Budget Performance Review at the KZN Legislature.

The meeting is also joined by Committee member, Cde. Mafika Mndebele, as the Committee exercises firm and focused oversight over the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development and its entity, the ADA.

Today’s session is assessing both financial and non-financial performance for the 2025/26 Second Quarter, ensuring that the Department and its entity remain aligned with the ANC’s mandate for food security, rural development and sustainable agricultural transformation.

[IN PICTURES] The ANC-led Conservation and Environmental Affairs Portfolio Committee, chaired by Hon. BN Sithole-Moloi, has today successfully concluded its scheduled meeting at the KZN Legislature Building.

The session was strengthened by the participation of Hon. Ntuthuko Mahlaba, a member of the Committee and the Chair of Chairs of the KZN Legislature, whose leadership continues to reinforce rigorous oversight and accountability across all committees.

The Committee received comprehensive updates from EDTEA and Ezemvelo KZN Wildlife on key environmental, conservation and performance matters for the 2025/26 Second Quarter. The meeting engaged robustly on the Department’s 2024/2025 Annual Report and the 2025/2026 2nd Quarter Performance and Budget Reports - with a strong focus on accelerating service delivery through infrastructure projects such as the Nkonjeni Hospital upgrade and the Ndwedwe EMS Base.
