A recent Facebook post by Limpopo hitmaker and producer has reignited a crucial discussion around royalty splits and the treatment of producers in the music industry.
Mack wrote:
"Artists not giving their producers royalty splits is a serious issue that needs to be addressed immediately... If you owe me, now’s the time to pay up — because things are about to get real!"
His statement sent shockwaves through local music circles, attracting responses from producers, fans, and fellow industry players.
LexxyPhonik, who once produced for the late Lil Merry and other "dha mara" artists, commented:
"I wish you could help me about royalties issues."
