🎬 THE ENVELOPE IS COMING.

When we first set out to bring this vision to life, we knocked on a lot of doors. We asked for assistance, but the silence was loud. No one was interested.

But guess what? We aren’t backing down. This project isn’t just a story it’s a movement. It's built on pure grit, passion, and an undeniable legacy. Rain or shine, no matter the obstacles or who counted us out,

IT IS HAPPENING.

Meet the faces of a story that refuses to be silenced.
âš¡ DESTINY. LEGACY. REDEMPTION. âš¡

The countdown has officially begun. You might want to get ready, because we are bringing a storm of our own.

"Imagine seeing all of these powerhouses on one screen in a single Xhosa production. The vision is clear and this talent is ready now we just need the support of our community to bring 'Irhayi (The Fee)' to life.

We are officially inviting investors and partners to join us in making this a reality. For our supporters who have asked how they can help, we will be launching a BackaBuddy campaign soon for public donations. Every contribution brings us one step closer to the first clapboard.

Stay tuned for more updates. Let’s make history together."

While the heart of IRHAY (THE FEE) beats with the lived experiences of Cape Town, its soul is universal. This is a story of power, survival, and the human cost of ambition realities that exist in every corner of our country. As a filmmaker, my priority is the integrity of the story and the impact of the visual, therefore, Skhwatshu Media is prepared to adapt this production to any location that provides the structural and financial support necessary to bring this vision to life. Whether in the streets of Khayelitsha or the rugged landscapes of the Eastern Cape, the story remains unshakable.

3. Community & Grassroots Screenings
IRHAYI speaks directly to lived realities in South Africa.
We will host:
Township and community hall screenings
School and youth organisation screenings
Church and NGO partnerships
Talk-back sessions and panel discussions
These screenings generate:
Ticket income
Sponsorship opportunities
Educational licensing revenue
4. Platforms as Marketing Tools
YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok will be used strategically, not as final destinations.
They will serve to:
Release trailers and teasers
Share behind-the-scenes content
Build anticipation
Drive audiences to paid screenings and purchases
The full film will not be given away for free.
5. Long-Term Value & Licensing
After the initial self-distribution phase, IRHAYI will be positioned for:
Television licensing
Educational institutions
International community screenings
Selective streaming deals (non-exclusive)
Any platform deal will be negotiated from a position of strength, not desperation.
Revenue Potential (Example)
1,000 viewers × R100 = R100,000
5,000 viewers × R100 = R500,000
10,000 viewers × R100 = R1,000,000
This model proves that impact films do not need mass platforms to be profitable — they need committed audiences.
Why This Matters
IRHAYI is a film about choices, consequences, and the price people pay.
Its distribution mirrors its message:
Ownership over exploitation
Value over validation
Sustainability over shortcuts
Conclusion
Self-distribution is not a fallback plan for IRHAYI.
It is a deliberate business decision.
By supporting this film, investors and partners are not only funding a story they are backing a new model for African independent cinema.
