Fashion once again proved that it can be a powerful force for good as the Voice of Courage Fashion Show brought together style, creativity and social impact at Boardwalk ICC on Friday, 14 August.

Hosted by Boardwalk Hotel and Casino in partnership with Camelot Spa at The Boardwalk, the initiative raised R66,600, with Yokhuselo Haven and the Community Chest of the Eastern Cape each receiving R33,300.

The Fig Tree Legacy Fund hosted a special breakfast honouring Sister Ethel Nora Moyilene for the incredible work she has done and the lasting legacy she has created.

The event highlighted the impact of her work on children and young people, particularly in recognising and nurturing their potential and creating opportunities for them to grow.

It was a meaningful morning celebrating legacy, community, and the importance of investing in the next generation.

Today, we honour the women who marched, resisted and stood together on 9 August 1956, not for themselves alone, but for the freedom and dignity of generations to come.

They fought so that women could walk forward. Today, we must make sure we never walk backwards.
