The Journey of NardScript_Digital: From SunFlowerThoughts to a Purpose-Driven Platform
Starting NardScript_Digital wasn’t something I had fully planned, yet it feels like a culmination of so many quiet moments, reflections, and late-night questions I’ve wrestled with over the years. This journey began with a humble blog I called SunFlowerThoughts. I used that space to explore ideas, thoughts, and the kinds of gentle encouragements I felt might connect with others like me. But as my journey continued, I felt a shift. I wanted my voice to carry something deeper—more grounded, something rooted in the Bible. And that’s when “nard” came into the picture.
When I first encountered the term "nard" in my Bible, it struck a chord. Nard, also known as spikenard, is a fragrant oil derived from the lavender family, cherished for its rich, sweet aroma and used in ancient times for anointing. This oil is mentioned several times in Scripture, such as in John 12:3, where Mary anoints Jesus’ feet with costly nard oil—a gesture of profound devotion and reverence. It was beautiful to me that this oil, treasured by our faith ancestors, could represent a blend of reverence, commitment, and the desire to give our best to God. This name felt like it truly resonated with the purpose I felt stirring within.
Through the years, I’ve often wondered how I could be a voice for God in a way that feels genuine and grounded. I’ve always been driven to make a difference but struggled with what form my words should take and what message would truly uplift. Over the last few years especially, I’ve realized how challenging it can be to silence the noise, dive into my emotions, and listen deeply to what God is saying. Society is so loud these days, and online, there are countless voices, communities, and interpretations to consider. In the end, I found myself back in the Word—just my Bible, some deep study, and God’s voice.
That’s where NardScript_Digital was truly born: in a season of simplification and surrender, letting go of what I thought I needed and focusing on God’s guidance. Over these five years, I’ve felt a strong pull to share my thoughts and experiences through digital e-books that echo this journey and offer guidance to others. Each book represents a part of my journey with God and how we can find His truth amid the noise around us.
I felt there was something missing in my own journey—a guide for those with dreams of creating and sharing their own digital messages of faith. Finding a community or mentor who truly understood what I wanted to build was challenging. So now, I’m working on a new product through NardScript_Digital, designed to support others who share these dreams and goals: those who want to create meaningful digital products and platforms rooted in faith and purpose. This tool will be a structured guide with practical resources to support every step, from ideation to launch. It’s meant to offer insight, encouragement, and the guidance needed to build a digital presence that reflects personal values and a commitment to God’s message. I’m looking forward to sharing this with everyone soon and being part of a growing community of creators who are making a difference online.
