Concern Raised Over Dual Roles Held by Mr Frans Moope Kgasago - Mamelodi News

By Mamelodi News Independent Stuff

Concerns have been raised within the community regarding Mr Frans Moope Kgasago, who currently serves as the Chairperson of the Limpopo Community Police Forum (CPF) while also holding the position of National Coordinator of the National Taxi Association (NTA).

The Community Police Forum is meant to act as a neutral structure that strengthens the relationship between the police and the community while ensuring transparency and accountability in policing matters.

Some community members believe that holding leadership roles in both the CPF and a national taxi association may create a potential conflict of interest, particularly in situations where the taxi industry may become involved in policing or community safety issues.

They argue that CPF leadership should remain independent to avoid any perception of bias and to maintain public trust in community policing structures.

The matter has sparked discussion among residents, with some calling for clarity on whether such dual roles are appropriate within community safety structures.

Abuse Allegations Between Businessman and Student Head to Court

By Tshwane News

A dispute between businessman Thulani Qithi and university student Bokang Seshebe has escalated into a legal battle and sparked debate on social media.

Seshebe and her family allege that she was physically abused, harassed and intimidated during their relationship, claiming she suffered serious injuries and was forced to relocate to the Eastern Cape, which caused her to miss university exams while studying at the University of the Free State. She has since obtained a protection order.

Qithi denies the allegations and has filed a counter-protection order, claiming Seshebe harassed and stalked him after their breakup in September 2025. He also said he financially supported her during the relationship by paying for tuition and living expenses.

The matter gained widespread attention on social media in March 2026, with both sides presenting conflicting claims while the legal process continues.

The case has sparked public discussion about gender-based violence, toxic relationships and victim-blaming.

AFRICA | Lesotho Woman Allegedly Killed by Boyfriend; Family Appeals for Missing Body Parts

A woman from Mafeteng in the Lesotho was allegedly murdered by her boyfriend, with the suspect now in police custody.

According to the victim’s aunt, the couple had only been in a relationship for about three months before the tragic incident.

Reports indicate that the suspect allegedly confessed to the family that he had killed the woman and later dismembered the body before disposing of the remains in a nearby dam.

Workers who make bricks near the dam reportedly noticed a human leg floating in the water, which they initially believed was from an animal. They became suspicious after a strong smell of decomposition was noticed days later.

The victim’s family has since appealed for help in recovering the remaining body parts so they can give her a proper burial.

The suspect has been arrested by police, and investigations are ongoing.

The victim’s aunt has also warned young people to be cautious about the people they date, saying some relationships can turn dangerous.
