Connekt media partnered up with Hebron mall , Clicks , Butshilo Private hospital and Telkom to host the first annual colour Fest event at Hebron mall on Saturday.

The purpose of the event was to raise 1 million sanitary towels which will be donated to different schools to assist less privileged girls to be in school even during their menstruation days.

The event was headlined by different activities including Aerobics and kids corner were they taught about different things including coding and robotics, Art's and craft

Boipelo Makhatulela, the face of 1 million sanitary pads drive thanked all the stakeholders who it made possible for the event to take place. " We want this drive to be a national drive".

Baroka Funerals collaborated with Benny Motaung on Saturday to host Monna INDODA conversations at Indoor sports complex in Mabopane, North of Pretoria. The event has numerous speakers including Dr Phalatse Lenyai, Mr Javu Baloyi from Commission for gender Equality. And Psychologist Ms. Nthabiseng Moeketsi.
Lethabo Mokgale the Chief Operating Officer of Baroka Funerals said that the company is a burial membership club and they generate money through their clients who 70% of them are women. “At Baroka we feel the pain when women get killed as a result we can’t talk to women who are constantly getting hurt by us as men”. The company also runs a foundation called Baroka cares which makes them to be involved in the communities they serve and they would like to partner with Benny Motaung forward on projects he will be doing.
Javu Baloyi from Commission for gender equality told the guests about the different cases that his organization has handled include the one in Soweto where a husband organized a group of boys to go and r**e his wife, when his organization received the call they went to the school where the victim was working and undress to show him what happened also that she has been waiting for an ambulance. Which made him emotional and eventually broke down and cried? One of the perpetrators later confessed that they were sent by the husband of the victim to do what they did.
Psychologist Nthabiseng Moeketsi said that men are undermining the issue of mental health and the society in general. She also said that she has been in practice for 20 years and 90% of her clients are women and their problems are mainly created by the fact that they stay with men on the other hand men they don’t voluntary come for counselling sessions. “Men are careful who whispers in your ear as that particular person are on verge of destroying you.”

House of Labron partnered up with different stakeholders including Donald Isaac Maluleke Charity Organization (DIMCO) on Friday to host the Youth empowerment program at Nellmaphius Secondary school,in Pretoria. The event was headlined by different speakers including Legendary Broadcaster Koena Moabelo, Mlamuli Mlambo and Gospel singer Segomotso Shuping just to name a few. They also donated sanitary towels.

Koena Moabelo said that being a radio presenter at the age of 14 and some people were looking down on him. he further said that he was once homeless despite the 10 years experience he has in the media industry and the law degree he was himself why people don't help or recruit him . He urged the learners to take their education seriously, they must not stop believing in themselves and "don't allow the situations their facing to deter them from reaching their dreams".

Dikeledi Moabelo said that her foundation the House of Labron does empowerment programs in different schools by bringing in different speakers from different affiliations and walks of life to come and talk to the students about career guidance, poverty alleviation and motivational talks.

Ndundu Sithole the co-founder of Dipitsa tsa Pitori collaborated with various stakeholders including Robertson Winery, Lengana Pure African gin and Radio Bop just to name a few on Saturday to host an event called Mabopane Lifestyle market at Mzansi Resorts in Mabopane, North of Pretoria.

The event is mainly focused on helping to develop local business by making them to reach new heights and liaise with potential clients.It seeks to work with local talent by helping them develop their craft. The event was filled with various activities including horse riding.

Exhibitors of Lengana Pure African gin impressed many people with the way in which they presented their product with the main advantage how easily it can be accessed online on www.Takealot.co.za which saw them gaining potential customers also for future events as well.

Event Organiser Ndundu Sithole said that "their looking at hosting the event every month and she's very impressed with the impact that it has."
