Crime Boss Rockay City for the PS5 delivers a thrilling and immersive experience for fans of heist games. The gameplay is reminiscent of the Payday series, featuring intricate heist mechanics and strategic planning, but it feels a bit easier, making it more accessible for newcomers to the genre. The variety of heists and missions initially keeps the gameplay fresh and engaging.
One of the standout features is the fun and diverse cast of characters, each bringing their own unique personality and flair to the game. The voice acting and character development is fairly decent adding depth to the narrative and making each cutscene more interesting than the previous one.
However, it's important to note that Crime Boss Rockay City is not for everyone. While the game offers a lot of excitement, it can get repetitive after a while. The missions, though varied at first, start to feel similar as you progress, which might not appeal to all players.
Despite this, the game is definitely enjoyable for some, especially those who appreciate a good heist game with a bit more leniency than the hardcore experiences offered by some of its counterparts. It's cool seeing such a fun cast come together, and although it's not a solid 10 out of 10, it certainly earns a respectable 8 out of 10.
