🎙️✨ Poetry that honours the journey ✨🎙️

We are proud to welcome Daniel Ramoshai, a powerful praise poet whose words rise from the heart of Limpopo and the deep well of Sepedi heritage.

Through his personal celebration of identity and belonging, Daniel reflects on the lessons carried by generations — spirituality, culture, and the wisdom of home. His poetry reminds us that where we come from is the foundation of who we are becoming.

As a proud Mopedi man, he speaks life into the beauty of our diverse South African tapestry — celebrating unity, pride, and the strength we hold as one people. 🇿🇦✨

Prepare to witness a performance rooted in culture, growth, and ancestral connection.

🎭 Performance Spotlight: “The Sinner” 🎭

A gripping tale unfolds on the Ya Badimo Fest stage…
The Sinner follows a young woman torn between two worlds —the calling of her forefathers and the weight of Christian tradition.

Must she carry the sacred healing bag — Iskhwama — and honour her ancestral path?

Or will she be judged for stepping into the spiritual gift she was born to hold?

This profound two-hander, performed by Thabo Pholo & Tebogo Mokwena, challenges us to confront the tensions many of us face:
Faith, identity, and the courage to answer the call of our bloodline.

Join us for a performance that will move your spirit and open the heart to reflection. ✨

✨Meet Our MC ✨

We’re bringing all the energy to Ya Badimo Fest — and who better to guide the day than a powerhouse wordsmith and cultural voice like Basetsana Motaung? 🎤🔥

Basetsana is a proud Motswana poet and performer whose work celebrates identity, ancestry, and the beauty of being unapologetically African. Her self-praise poem “Ke Mo Afrika” stands as a vibrant affirmation of her journey — a reminder that our heritage is not just history, but a living force shaping who we are and who we become.

With her magnetic presence and deep-rooted love for culture, she will be holding space, lifting spirits, and keeping the fire alive throughout the day. 💫

Aganyo Media & Co is honoured and so excited to have you with us on the YBF stage.

Re leboga Basetsana — we can’t wait to celebrate with you! 🌞🤲🏽

🪔The Ancestral Altar at Ya Badimo Fest🪔🌙

At the heart of Ya Badimo Fest stands The Ancestral Altar, an honour space of remembrance, reflection and gratitude.

It’s where we pause to honour those who came before us through celebration and connection.

✨ Donate: Leave your offering — coins or cash, old clothes, candles, old towels and blankets, or flowers to the space. Every contribution carries meaning and becomes part of our collective prayer and generosity.

💬 Commemorate: Write a message to your loved one(s) who’ve passed on and add it to the altar.
Each note rests in conversation with the ancestors, reminding us that memory is also light.

🪶 This is a mokete, a space of culture, community, and belonging. It’s how we celebrate our connection to spirit and to one another.

Join us in honouring the light of those who guide us. 🌞
