Financial Literacy in Action!

On 10 October 2025, the Centre for Entrepreneurship Development, in partnership with FNB, launched the South African BRICS Youth Association TUT Chapter at TUT Pretoria Campus.

Centred on financial literacy, the event covered key topics like earning, saving, spending, borrowing, and protecting assets. Guest speakers from FNB and Consumer Educator Mrs. Given Seakatsie shared valuable insights to help students make smarter financial decisions.

The Tshwane University of Technology’s Pretoria Campus is hosting an inspiring Awareness Event at Building 7B, Kiosk Dining Hall, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

The day kicked off with a fun walk, bringing students and staff together in great spirit, followed by a communal breakfast that set the tone for unity and openness. Now, is the main program, featuring powerful talks, engaging discussions, and a Q&A session around key social and campus issues.

FINAL SRC ELECTION RESULTS ANNOUNCEMENT

The Chief Electoral Officer has confirmed the final seat allocations for the 2025 SRC Elections, following a full review and verification process in line with the SRC Constitution.

All objections and queries from student organisations and independent candidates have been addressed, ensuring that the results reflect a fair and transparent process.

Constitution meetings to officially form the Campus SRCs (CSRCs) and the Institutional SRC (ISRC) will take place between 9 and 13 October 2025 across all campuses.

Student organisations with seats in the SRC are reminded to submit their nominees for the CSP and ISP positions by 10 October 2025.

From 1–3 October, thousands of students cast their votes in the 2025 SRC Elections. This year saw a record-breaking 57% voter turnout, the highest in TUT’s history!

With such strong participation, the message is clear: student democracy at TUT is alive and thriving.
