Daniel Levy is apparently ready to pull the plug on Johan Lange next season!

Fabio Paratici’s option of going to Milan has really sent shock waves of the future without him and the reality of the lack of experience Lange has in comparison. It’s also noted if not for Ange Postecoglou Spurs would have missed the signing of Mathys Tel after Lange first struggled to secure Kolo Muani then later Tel.

Ange Postecoglou on James Maddison's display (and goal celebration)...

"Everybody has mentioned his celebration but I didn’t see it so I can’t comment on it but it doesn’t surprise me that Madders didn’t accept what was being said about him and threw a shot back over the bow. It’s just great to have him back. He is a quality player. If you just look at his goals return from midfield this year it’s still right up there. He got frustrated when he got injured and to be honest we didn’t think he would be back for a couple of weeks but he has worked awfully hard in training and done everything right to make sure he was available. I think that is the key thing for us and we have seen it with all our players, particularly in recent times. The injured lads are all desperate to contribute. They have seen what the other guys have gone through and are just pushing hard. Even Brennan, Wilson, Destiny, they were really keen to be involved today. There was no me holding them back. They wanted to be a part of it. Yeah pleased. I thought Madders took his goal well and contributed to us getting a victory."

Ange Postecoglou on saving Micky and Cuti for the Europa League...

"No, and we’re not 'all or nothing' on anything. We still want to progress in the league. We’re not happy with the position we’re in. There are still significant games. It’s not like there is a few games to go. There is still a lot of football to be played in the league and we want to address our league position and finish the season strong. Alongside that, obviously the Europa League now is a great focus for us with us being out of the other cups, but we’re not saving anyone for anything because, ultimately, Micky and Romero have had disrupted seasons in that they’ve got injured, come back and got injured again and I don’t want the same scenario. You know whilst it may look with Micky like we had a false start with the Elfsborg thing, I think it gave us an indication of where he is at. We could have pushed on absolutely and we could have pushed on with Romero, but my view is let’s get them back and get them back right until the end of the season so we give them a chance as well to make a contribution to hopefully a strong finish for us."

Ange Postecoglou has been explaining that it's not about the injury with Micky van de Ven anymore, it's about changing the mechanics of his body to allow him to handle his pace and style of playing and prevent the hamstring injuries:

🗣️"We've had a few people externally looking "at him and giving him some more guidance and information, added to our stuff, which he can do differently around, not so much the injury, but to help his body adapt to the extreme athlete he is.”

🗣️"You always want to protect your assets and he is a major asset for this club and to protect his long-term career for the sake of a couple of weeks is worth it."
