🎚️ In Live Sound, You Can’t Fix It in the Mix 🎚️
When it comes to live audio, you can't rely on the mix to fix problems that start earlier in the signal chain. If it doesn’t sound good at the source, no amount of EQ, compression, or effects will truly fix it.
🔊 Bad input = bad output.
A poorly sung vocal caused by bad mic technique or poor mic placement won’t magically sound great just because you have a powerful console. The same goes for untuned drums or a noisy DI — they’ll only get worse when amplified.
🎤 Get it right at the source.
• Use proper mic placement.
• Tune instruments before soundcheck.
• Set gain structure carefully.
• Eliminate noise and feedback at the root.
The mix is there to enhance, not to rescue. Always aim for the cleanest, most accurate sound from the beginning of the chain — that’s the key to a great live mix.

Trust doesn’t snap.

It frays quietly, one missed deadline at a time.

Then be ready when the pressure hits.

That’s the unspoken deal too few teams say out loud.

We’re a remote first company.
We trust people to manage their day.
Need to nip out for a school run? Go.
Midday gym break? Great.

But trust is a two way street.

It’s earned slowly.
Lost quickly.
And it cuts both ways.

The problem isn’t flexibility.
It’s the quiet resentment when no one stays to finish the job.

We’ve all seen it.

A team member disappears mid-day.
↳ Later, the pressure’s on.
❌ Nobody steps up.
❌ Tension creeps in.
❌ Finger-pointing follows.

Suddenly, it’s not just a late deadline.

Because flexible work only works when there’s mutual respect.

If I’m fine with your 2pm errands, be ready for a 8pm assist.

Remote work gives us freedom.
Responsibility is the cost.

We’re not running a surveillance state.

Built on clarity, accountability, and respect.

We don’t track hours.
We track outcomes.
But we do notice when someone wants flexibility without the follow through.

And that’s where things quietly unravel.
