From Hackathon Project to Something Bigger 🛡️🔥

I'm incredibly grateful to lablab.ai and AMD Ryzen and Radeon ( AMD Developer Hackathon: ACT II) for recognizing my work on Anchor Agent and awarding me a Certificate of Completion for outstanding performance, attendance, and successfully completing and submitting my solution.

But I'm not looking at Anchor Agent as “just a hackathon project” anymore.

The idea behind Anchor became personal after someone very close to me experienced a frightening situation where help was needed, but those critical seconds mattered.

That made me think:

What happens when someone is in danger and doesn't have time to unlock their phone, navigate through apps, find a contact, or explain what's happening?

That's the problem I want Anchor Agent to explore.

The current version is my hackathon prototype. Now I'm taking it into V2 — with the goal of turning it into an installable, mobile-first PWA with a much stronger emergency experience, voice activation, offline-aware functionality, location capabilities, trusted contacts, and AI-assisted safety features.

I'm still at the beginning of this journey, and I know there is a LOT to learn, test and improve before this can become something people can genuinely rely on.

But I'm excited.

Because this time, I'm not building just to submit a project.

I'm building toward something that could actually help someone.

Hmm it's been a while since I posted consistently on my socials, a lot of exciting things are happening
The journey continues... and we're just getting started.
2026 has been a year of growth, learning, and stepping outside my comfort zone.
As the founder of CR Tech Solutions, I believe that innovation comes from continuously learning and building.
So far this year, I have:
✅ Joined the App of the Year FNB App Academy 2026
✅ Started the TW4Tech Technical Writing Program
✅ Preparing to participate in the Native.builder Hackathon powered by lablab.ai this August
✅ Registered for the Geekulcha Annual Hackathon this September
✅ Continuing to build DevDen, a platform aimed at empowering developers and creating opportunities within our tech community.

There have been late nights, challenges, moments of self-doubt, and plenty of debugging sessions—but every step is worth it.
My mission has always been bigger than simply writing code.
It is about creating solutions, building communities, opening doors for others, and proving that great innovation can come from anywhere.
To everyone following the CR Tech Solutions journey: thank you for your support. The vision is growing, the skills are growing, and the future is exciting.
This is only the beginning.
Stay tuned. More projects, more learning, and more innovation are on the way.

What a week.

A few days ago, my teammate and I started building a project called EchoForge for the Musixmatch Musicathon, and today we officially submitted it.

EchoForge is an audio memory platform designed around the idea of helping people reconnect with meaningful memories through music, voice recordings, and personalized audio experiences.

The final submission is something we're proud of, but the journey to get there was far from smooth.

This week was filled with late nights, debugging sessions, deployment headaches, API integrations, Git conflicts, broken code, duplicate project structures, and those moments where you stare at your screen wondering why something that worked yesterday suddenly refuses to work today.

We integrated multiple services and technologies throughout the build process, including music discovery, lyric synchronization, audio recording, and audio processing tools. Every successful integration came with its own challenges, but every obstacle taught us something new.

One of the biggest lessons for me was the importance of teamwork.

There were moments when one of us would be stuck while the other found a solution. There were moments when fatigue started kicking in and we had to keep pushing anyway. Building under pressure teaches you a lot about communication, trust, patience, and resilience.

There was even a point where we spent hours tracking down an issue only to discover we were working with duplicate project files. Frustrating in the moment, but also one of those experiences that makes you a better developer.

Through all the chaos, we kept moving forward.

We learned.
We adapted.
We fixed.
We rebuilt.
And most importantly, we shipped.

A huge thank you to Musixmatch for creating an opportunity for developers and creators to build meaningful solutions around music and technology.

Win or lose, this experience was valuable. The skills gained, the lessons learned, and the teamwork involved are things I'll carry forward into future projects.

To my teammate: thank you for pushing through every challenge with me.

And to everyone building, creating, and chasing ideas: keep going. Sometimes the biggest achievement isn't winning—it's refusing to quit when things get difficult.

On to the next challenge. 🚀

Today I learned that building software is not just about coding 😅

You can spend hours designing dashboards, deploying prototypes, fixing UI issues, thinking about scalability, backend architecture, hosting, support, permissions, and databases… then suddenly the conversation shifts into ownership, maintenance, deployment rights, and business expectations.

As developers, we sometimes think:
“Once the app works, everything is done.”

But real-world projects come with:
• communication challenges
• client expectations
• support boundaries
• hosting responsibilities
• scaling concerns
• long-term maintenance discussions

One thing I’m learning very fast:
Software development is just as much business communication as it is technical skill.

Still grateful for the experience though. Every project teaches something new 🚀

Friday night reflections 💻

This week reminded me why I chose tech.

From participating in Career Week with Tech4Dev, learning through speed interviews, connecting with professionals, to continuing development on projects like DevDen and building systems like FleetFlow for clients — I’m realizing that growth really comes from showing up consistently, even on the difficult days.

Still learning. Still building. Still pushing.

The vision is bigger than where I am right now. 🚀

💻 CR Tech Solutions | Day 3 Career Week Check-in
It’s been a while since I posted here — but I’ve been working quietly, learning, and sharpening my direction in tech.
Today is a reminder to myself: consistency is part of the build.
As I go through Career Week with Women Techsters, I’m not just attending sessions — I’m developing the kind of discipline and technical foundation that CR Tech Solutions is built on.
Every lesson, every task, every challenge is part of the bigger goal: building solutions, growing my skills, and positioning myself in the tech space with intention.
This is me getting back to consistency online and in the work I’m doing.
If you’re also building something in tech, feel free to connect , let’s grow and share the journey.
