My husband cheated on me. And when i found out i searched for her on all social platforms and watch everything.

First of all she's very fine and classic, i don't know how he was able to date such woman. She is even older than him.

Then i told him to kuku date her openly that i have accepted on condition that she should find me work. She did o. The job i have now is courtesy of her. She is 40+ me am 26.

He introduced us and me i like her, i even call her auntie and i visit her with my son, anytime they have issues she do call me. I tell her sorry and support her no matter what.

She sends me mon£y for my kids and foodstuff in bags to my house but my husband came home and said i should cut all ties with her that he’s not interested and he can't marry her.

I was like as how naa? My helper? He said she is bossy and she don't make him feel like a man and he have not benefited anything from her that she only spends on me and our son.

Me that made him feel like a man did he stay? I told him to sorry and manage. You allowed another woman feed you and your wife and kid and say she should not be bossy?

I am a Zimbabwean🇿🇼 man, a Chartered Accountant. I have lived in South Africa🇿🇦 for 15 years, legally. I married my South African🇿🇦 wife when she was a struggling student, and I built her the life she has now. We live in a beautiful home in Waterfall, and she drives a car that costs more than some people’s houses.

But lately, the "nationalism" in this country has entered my own bedroom. Every time we have a small argument—even about the kids or the salt in the food—she reminds me that I am a "guest" in her country. Last night, it reached a breaking point. I asked her why she stayed out until 2 AM, and she looked me dead in the eye and said, "Check the logo on your ID, then check mine. This is my soil. If I call the police and tell them you hit me, who do you think they will believe? The citizen🇿🇦 or the Zimbabwean🇿🇼?"

I have never laid a finger on her. I have provided everything. But she knows that with the current political climate, a single "domestic violence" accusation—true or false—would end my career and my residency. She is holding my freedom hostage using her " ID and Citizenship." She told me if I ever question her movements again, she will make sure I’m on a bus to Beitbridge within 48 hours.

Is this what marriage has become? A hostage situation? To my fellow brothers, is it even safe to marry for love anymore when your status can be used as a noose around your neck?
