God's Gift

For the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable [for He does not withdraw what He has given, nor does He change His mind about those to whom He gives His grace or to whom He sends His call]. Romans 11:29 AMP

Today's Word
No matter where you’ve been, no matter what you’ve done, realize today that your destiny supersedes your mistakes. When God designed the plan for your life, it wasn’t dependent on you being perfect, never making a mistake, or never taking a wrong turn. No, God knew we would all make mistakes. He knows how to get you back on track no matter where you are in life. Just as there are many routes on a map, God has a plan to help you reach your destination. He knows the detours, shortcuts and bypasses. He has already calculated the entire route for your life.

Today, if you’re feeling as though you’ve blown it, if you feel as though you are too old, too far gone or too far off track, know that nothing you’ve done, no mistake that you’ve made—or ever will make—is a surprise to God. He’s already got it figured out. He’s arranged a comeback for every setback! He has grace for every weakness. He has mercy for every failure. His gifts are irrevocable. So rise up in faith and receive the good things and plans He has in store for you!

Prayer for Today
Father, thank You for the gifts, talents and calling You have placed on me. Thank You for ordering my steps and keeping me on track. Keep me close to You always as I set my love and eyes on You in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Forgiven

When you were dead in your sins…God made you alive with Christ. He forgave us all our sins, having canceled the charge of our legal indebtedness, which stood against us and condemned us; he has taken it away, nailing it to the cross. Colossians 2:13–14

Today's Word
How much time do you spend feeling down on yourself, guilty for past sins and mistakes, telling God how unworthy you are? I know people who ask God to forgive them for the same thing over and over. It happened twenty years ago, and they’re still bringing it up. They think it’s showing God that they’re sorry, but God is not moved by our guilt; He’s moved by faith. It takes faith not to just believe for your dreams; it takes faith to believe that you’re forgiven, that you’re redeemed, that you’re worthy. The language of faith says, “I may feel guilty, but I know I am forgiven. I’ve confessed it to God, and any charge of guilt against me has been nailed to the cross.”
That lingering guilt is not from God. That’s the accuser. You can’t go by what you feel; you have to go by what you know. Feelings don’t always tell us the truth. Don’t let the accuser deceive you into going through life with no passion, thinking you’ve blown it too many times. Your record has been cleared.

Prayer For Today
Father, thank You that the blood of Your Son Jesus has canceled the record of my sins that stood against me. Thank You that I have been accepted and approved and that the work of the cross is finished. I believe and declare that I am forgiven, redeemed, and set free. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

God's Book of Remembrance

Then those who feared the Lord talked with each other, and the Lord listened and heard. A scroll of remembrance was written in his presence concerning those who feared the Lord and honored his name. Malachi 3:16 NIV

Today's Word
Do you ever keep special cards or emails from loved ones? People do this because those words of love and encouragement are important. In the same way, your words and thoughts of love are important to God, too. Did you know He has a Book of Remembrance? In this book, every time we talk about Him or thank Him for His goodness, He has the angels write it down. When you just think about God, the angels record it. In fact, this moment right now, the angels are writing it down in the Book of Remembrance. This book is not up on a dusty storeroom shelf in heaven somewhere. The Scripture says, “It stays constantly before God, wide open, as a reminder of those who are thinking of Him.” God loves you so much and values your love, too. All throughout the day, be determined to keep God in your thoughts. Meditate on His promises and thank Him for His goodness. When we keep our minds focused on Him, we won’t be distracted by the cares of this world. When you let your love for Him show, it pleases His heart and draws you closer to Him each and every day.

Prayer for Today
Father, today I turn my heart and mind toward You, thanking You for Your goodness and faithfulness in my life. I bless You today because You are worthy. I hold the truth of Your Word close to my heart so that I can always be pleasing to You in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Abide - Remain

If you remain in Me and My words remain in you [that is, if we are vitally united and My message lives in your heart], ask whatever you wish and it will be done for you. John 15:7 AMP

Today's Word
In life, we all have ups and downs. There are seasons that are more difficult than others, seasons of testing, trials and temptation where our character is being developed and our faith in God is being strengthened. Sometimes it can feel like you are taking two steps forward and then three steps backward. But if we’re not careful, we’ll start thinking that life is always going to be this way. Even in the strong seasons, you’ll start looking for things to go wrong.

God doesn’t want us to be living life like a roller coaster. He wants to bring us to a place of stability where we remain strong in Him. Jesus said, “I am the vine. You are the branches. If you abide in me, you will bear much fruit and your fruit will remain.” The word “remain” means “to be fixed, immovable, not affected by circumstances.” If you will just keep abiding in Him, just keep meditating on His Word, He’ll bring you through. He’ll make you strong, He’ll keep you stable, and you’ll keep moving forward into the life of blessing He has prepared for you!

Prayer for Today
Father, today I set my heart and mind on You knowing that You are good and faithful. I trust that as I seek You and put You first, You will direct my steps. I choose to remain in You and follow Your leading in everything I do in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Enter with Thanksgiving

Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name. Psalm 100:4 NIV

Today’s Word
What an amazing privilege we have to serve a personal God who desires a relationship with us. But notice that today's Scripture tells us that we shouldn't come empty-handed to the King of kings and the Lord of lords. What do we have to give that's worthy of Almighty God? Our praise. Our thanksgiving. Our worship. We should always enter His gates with an offering of thanksgiving from our hearts.

Praise isn't just about singing songs in church. Praise is the expression of gratefulness to God for Who He is and all that He has done. Praise gets God's attention. Praise is a powerful tool in our life because God inhabits the praises of His people! When we enter His presence the right way, He enters our circumstances; and when God shows up, the enemy must flee! Today, enter into His gates with thanksgiving and open the door for Him to move on your behalf!

Prayer for Today
Father, thank You that I can come to You with a heart full of thanksgiving. I have so much to be grateful for because of Your goodness. You are good, and Your mercy endures forever! Thank You for doing exceedingly abundantly above all I could ever ask or imagine. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

Double For Your Trouble

Instead of your shame you will receive a double portion, and instead of disgrace you will rejoice in your inheritance. And so you will inherit a double portion in your land, and everlasting joy will be yours. Isaiah 61:7 NIV

Today's Word
When this Scripture was written, God's people were going through a very dark time. They were being held captive against their will and mistreated by other nations. God sent this word to encourage them and give them hope for their future. When the time came, God was faithful to His Word!

Are you going through a difficult time today? Let this word bring you encouragement, too. God wants to give you double for your trouble. He is the God of restoration—that means He's not going to just repay you for every wrong done, He's going to go above and beyond and make things even better than they were before. If you are facing challenges today or going through a time of adversity, remember that it's always darkest just before the dawn. Your days are destined to shine brighter because God is faithful. As you stay in faith and are obedient to His Word, you'll receive double for your trouble and the blessings He has in store for you!

Go Serve

"For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many." Mark 10:45 NIV

Today's Word
The best way to ease stress in your life is to get your mind off the pressures by reaching out to help somebody else. Sow good seeds in someone else's life with a kind word or a helping hand and you will begin to reap a harvest of blessing. God asks you to give, but He doesn't do it to stress you out or frustrate you. He does it to give you wonderful opportunities. God is trying to help you plant your seeds, so that you can reap the harvest of your labors and your work. When you serve others, you’ll feel a satisfaction, peace, a joy, a strength, and a fulfillment that only God can give. Strength, joy, energy, peace, and healing come to those who serve. If you're faithful to do your part, He will be faithful to do His part. Don't let the enemy deceive you into thinking that you can't sow seeds of blessing in someone else's life. Get that seed into the ground so it can grow into a harvest of blessing and victory!

Prayer for Today
God, thank You for the opportunities You give me to reap a harvest ny serving others. Make me alert today to those who need encouragement and help. Thank you for the grace to be a blessing to them. In Jesus' Name. Amen.

Make Room for More

Today's Word
The moment you accept that something negative is the norm— that you’ll always struggle in your finances, your marriage will never improve, you’re stuck in your career—that’s when a stronghold in your mind is formed that can keep you from your destiny. The first place we lose the battle is in our own thinking. If you think you’ve reached your limits, you have. If you think you’ll never get well, you won’t. You have to change your thinking and stir up your faith. God is saying, “I have given you gifts, talents, and great potential. You have seeds of greatness inside. Doors are going to open that no man can shut. Talent is going to come out that you didn’t know you had. I’m going to connect you with the right people and present you with opportunities that will thrust you into a new level of your destiny.”

Dream big. Believe big. Pray big. Make room for God to do something new in your life. He has explosive blessings coming your way.

Prayer for Today
Father, thank You that I can leave behind any negative mindsets and make room for the increase You want to bring into my life. Thank You that You open doors and new opportunities that will take me to new levels. I believe this is a new day to break free from limitations. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Covered by Mercy

He saved us because of his mercy, not because of any good things we did. He saved us through the washing that made us new people. He saved us by making us new through the Holy Spirit. Titus 3:5 ERV

Today’s Word
Saul was persecuting the church when God appeared to him and changed him into the apostle Paul. God doesn't give us what we deserve. We deserve the consequences of our actions; we deserve judgment, but God gives us mercy. He knows how to make miracles out of our mistakes. The accusing voices will tell you, "You're done, and it's your fault. You know you weren't supposed to do it. It's your mess." No, God is so merciful that He'll not only bring you out, He'll clean up your mess.

You may be in a mess of your own doing right now. God has mercy for that mistake. His mercy is not based on your performance. You are covered with mercy not just when you measure up but even when you blow it, even when you fail. He can make a miracle out of that mess. Get up every morning and thank God not only for His goodness, but thank Him for His mercy.

Prayer for Today
Father, thank You for Your mercies that are new every morning and for Your great faithfulness. Thank You that my mistakes and failures are not too much for Your mercy. I believe that I am covered by Your mercy which makes miracles out of mistakes. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

Detoxing Your Mind

Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it. Proverbs 4:23 NIV

Today's Word
When something is toxic, it’s poisonous; it can destroy you. When we go around dwelling on the wrong thoughts, thinking about what we can’t do or how we’ll never get ahead, those are toxic thoughts. Toxic thoughts left alone become like toxic waste that sinks into your heart. It will eventually contaminate your whole life. It affects your self-image, your attitude, your confidence, and ultimately, your success. That’s why the Scripture says to guard your heart because the condition of your heart and mind determines the condition of your whole life.

You need to go through a mental cleansing. Make the decision today to detox any negative, self-defeating thoughts by meditating on God’s promises instead. Make the decision to detox bitterness, detox low self-esteem, detox negative words that may have been spoken over you, detox condemnation. Make the decision to dwell on what God says about you. God says, “You are forgiven.” God says, “Your best days are in front of you.” God says, “I’ll restore the years that the enemy has stolen.” As you detox your mind and fill your thoughts with His promises, you’ll see His hand of blessing on your life. You’ll rise up higher, and you’ll live the abundant life He has for you!

Prayer for Today
Father in heaven, I invite You to purify my heart and mind by Your Spirit today. Wash me with the Word as I meditate on Your wonderful promises. Help me keep my mind focused on You and walk in faith. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Thinking Like a Son

The Spirit that we received is not a spirit that makes us slaves again and causes us to fear. The Spirit that we have makes us God’s chosen children. And with that Spirit we cry out, “Abba, Father.” Romans 8:15 ERV

Today's Word
Are you living like a child of God, knowing that you have rights of sonship, knowing that God is pleased with you, that He is longing to be good to you, that “it is the Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom”? Or are you living like a slave, feeling unworthy, like you don’t deserve God’s goodness? Why don’t you start believing that you’re His child? You’re already in the family.

Even though the enemy has been taken care of, even though the oppressor is defeated, he will work overtime trying to remind you of all your mistakes, making you feel guilty and unworthy. He’ll still whisper lies. “You’re not supposed to be blessed. You’ll always be addicted.” What he’s really saying is, “You’re a slave. Just accept it.” Tell him, “No, you have the wrong person. I’m not a slave; I’m a son. I’m blessed, I’m prosperous, and I’m a difference maker.” You’re not going to qualify as a son when you perform well enough. You’re a son right now. Get rid of that slave mentality and start having an abundant mentality.

Prayer For Today
Father, thank You that You have not only freed me from sin and guilt, but You have defeated the enemy. Thank You that I am not a slave but I am Your child. I believe that I don’t have to perform well enough to qualify but that I am Your child now. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
