He Goes before You

The LORD your God, who is going before you, will fight for you, as he did for you in Egypt, before your very eyes. Deuteronomy 1:30 NIV

Today's Word
Then Israelites had been freed from slavery and were on their way to the Promised Land. They had all kinds of enemy nations surrounding them and no military equipment or training. Now they were out in the heat of the desert without water and food sources. They felt overwhelmed, outnumbered, and inadequate. In the natural, they didn’t have a chance. But God spoke today’s Scripture to them. They had seen God part the Red Sea and destroy Pharaoh and his army. You may feel that the odds are against you. But God is saying to you what He said to them, “I’m going before you, and I’m fighting for you.” Whatever is trying to stop you is no match for our God. One touch of His favor and He’ll turn that Red Sea into dry ground. You’re not going to have to struggle and fight. It may look intimidating, like it’s never going to change, but don’t worry. God is going to do something extraordinary.

Prayer for Today
Father, thank You that You are the Almighty God who goes before me and fights for me. Thank You for all the great things You have done for me and for all the extraordinary victories that You are about to bring me through. I believe that this is a new day of Your favor. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”

I am Fearfully and Wonderfully Made

I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; marvelous are Your works, and that my soul knows very well Psalm 139:14 NKJV

Today's Word
Have you ever noticed that when you ask someone “Who are you?” a lot of times they’ll say, “I’m a salesman.” “I’m a minister.” “I’m a coach.” “I’m a teacher.” Many people find their identity in what they do. The problem with this kind of thinking is that people identify themselves with their negative habits and strongholds, too. I hear people say, “I’m an alcoholic; I just can’t beat it.” No, that’s not who you are, that’s what you do. But if you keep thinking that way and talking that way, it will become so ingrained on the inside that you’ll convince yourself that it’s true, and it will keep you from rising higher. If you’ve accepted Jesus as your Lord and Savior, then who you are is a child of the Most High God. It’s time to start acting like it because you have a destiny to fulfill.” As a believer, you are the righteousness of God in Christ! You are the head and not the tail! You are an overcomer! Today, embrace who you are in Christ and don’t ever let your performance change your identity.

Father God, thank You for who You are and for who You’ve made me. I declare today that I am the righteousness of God in Christ. Help me to keep my identity in You and glorify You in all that I do in Jesus’ name. Amen.

All Things Are Possible

Jesus looked at them and said, "With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible. Matthew 19:26 NIV

Today's Word
Are you facing something today that seems impossible? With man it may be, but with God, ALL things are possible. If you seem to be in an impossible situation, get “with God!” Sometimes it’s so easy to focus on our problems and try to solve them in our own strength. But remember, the battle belongs to the Lord. He has a plan for your victory. He has a plan to give you a way out. He is making the things that seem impossible, possible. You can trust Him today. The Bible says that He has plans for your good, not for evil, to give you a future and a hope. Start believing and confessing today, “I am with God, and with God all things are possible!” Are your bills piling up? With God, all things are possible. Do your relationships need healing? With God, all things are possible. Is there sickness in your body? With God, all things are possible! As you meditate on God’s Word, His power is activated in your life. He will strengthen you and lead you forward into that place of victory He has in store for you.

Prayer for Today
Heavenly Father, thank You for making a way where there seems to be no way. I choose to trust You, and I believe that all things are possible! Show me Your power today. Work through me to encourage those around me to trust You more in Jesus’ name. Amen.

You will arise and have mercy on Zion; for the time to favor her, yes, the set time, has come. Psalm 102:13 NKJV

Today’s Word
One thing I’ve learned in my life is that God likes to outdo Himself. His dream for your life is so much bigger than your own. His ways are higher, and He has an appointed time of favor for your life. He is going to take you places that you never thought possible. He is going to open up doors that you never have imagined. He’s going to bring talent out of you that you didn’t even know you had. This is the time to get excited about your future! It’s time to get your hopes up because you have been chosen by the Creator of the universe. Your destiny is not determined by the economy, how you were raised, or your education. Your destiny is determined by Almighty God.
Today I want to encourage you to set your thoughts on things above. It’s time for you to move up to a new level. The good news is that God has already laid out victory before you. I declare that in the days ahead you’re going to rise. Get ready because God is going to raise you up into the life of blessing He has prepared for you!

Prayer for Today

More than Enough

You will possess their land; I will give it to you as an inheritance, a land flowing with milk and honey. Leviticus 20:24 NIV

Today's Word
The Israelites had been in slavery for hundreds of years. That was the land of barely enough. They were just surviving, barely making it through. One day God brought them out of slavery and took them into the desert, the land of just enough. Their needs were supplied, but nothing extra. God eventually took them into the Promised Land, the land of more than enough. The food and supplies were plenteous. It’s called “the land flowing with milk and honey.” Flowing means it didn’t stop. Its abundance never ran out. That’s where God is taking you.
You may be in the land of barely enough or just enough right now. Don’t worry. God hasn’t forgotten about you. He is saying, “Those are seasons. Don’t put your stakes down. You’re passing through.” God has a Promised Land for you. He has a place of abundance, of more than enough, where it’s flowing with provision, not just one time, but you’ll continue to have plenty.

Prayer for Today
Father, thank You that You are El Shaddai, the God of abundance. Thank You for the place I’m in now, but I’m not putting my stakes down. I believe that You are going to bring me into a life of overflow and the land of more than enough. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Take the Next Step

By faith Abraham, when called to go to a place he would later receive as his inheritance, obeyed and went, even though he did not know where he was going. Hebrews 11:8 NIV

Today’s Word
God told Abraham to pack up his household, leave his extended family behind, and head out to a land that God was going to give him. The only problem was that God didn’t give him any details of where to go. But Abraham understood that just because you don’t have all the answers and you’re uncomfortable doesn’t mean you aren’t supposed to do it.
God doesn’t give you a blueprint for your whole life. If you had all the details of what He wants you to do and how it will work out, you wouldn’t need any faith. He’s going to send you out, not knowing everything. It’s not always going to make sense. Other people may try to talk you out of it. Your own thoughts will tell you, What if it doesn’t work out? But if you take that step, trusting that God knows what He’s doing, then each step of the way there will be provision, favor, and protection.

Prayer for Today
Father, thank You for calling me to follow You and Your direction in my life. Thank You that You have a blueprint for my life, and I need not fear the unknown. I ask You to make clear the next step that I should take, and I will take it. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”

Stay Close to the Right People

The women said to Naomi: “Praise be to the LORD, who this day has not left you without a guardian-redeemer. May he become famous throughout Israel! He will renew your life and sustain you in your old age.” Ruth 4:14–15 NIV

Today's Word
Naomi lost her husband in death, and then both her sons died as well. She was so discouraged that she didn’t think she could go on. She had been full of joy and sweetness, but now she was bitter. She even changed her name from Naomi, which means “my joy,” to Mara, which means “bitter.” She was saying, “Call me bitter.” But her friends refused and kept calling her Naomi. She was trying to stay in defeat, but they said, “No, you’re coming into victory,” and eventually she did.
If you have been through disappointments and loss, you need people around you who will remind you about who you are—not people who will get bitter with you and agree with the defeat. Stay close to people who will call you blessed and victorious. You want people in your life who will remind you that your best days are yet to come, that what was meant for your harm, God will use to your advantage.

Prayer for Today
Father, thank You that You are able to take the most unfair situations in my life and turn them into positives. And thank You for the people in my life who call me victorious and blessed. Help me to stay close to those who remind me of who I am. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”

Know You Are Loved

The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end. Lamentations 3:22 ESV

Today’s Word
In the Bible, the book of John was written by the disciple John. What's interesting is that within this book he never refers to himself as John. When he talks about himself, he says, "The disciple whom Jesus loved." When he refers to others, such as Peter, he uses their name and makes no mention of Jesus' love for them. You could take this as being arrogant and self-centered, but John was showing us the confidence he had in how much he knew God loved him.
What if we felt the same way about our heavenly Father? Start by approaching Him like you know He loves you, like you know He's for you, like you know He's longing to be good to you. When you can do as John did, you can wake up in the morning and say, "Good morning, Lord. It's me, the one whom You love." All through the day you can say, "Lord, I love You, and I know I'm the one whom You love."

Father, thank You that I am the one whom You love today. Thank You that I can be confident in knowing how much You love me, and thank You for allowing me to be close to Your heart. I want to love You with all my heart and soul and mind. In Jesus' Name, Amen

Just Do It

For with God nothing [is or ever] shall be impossible. Luke 1:37 AMP

Today's Word
When ten lepers saw Jesus walking through their village, they called out for Him to have mercy and heal them. Leprosy was a dreaded infectious skin disease that caused disfigurement of the skin and bones, twisting of the limbs, and curling of the fingers. Jesus told them to go show themselves to the priests, which they would normally do after they were healed. They could have thought, Once I see my healing, then I’ll go. But as they obeyed Jesus’ word, parts of their bodies that had been dismembered and deformed were restored to normal. By the time they got to the priests, they were perfectly well.
When God tells you to do something, don’t debate it, don’t try to figure it out, just do it. When you obey, a blessing will always follow. God has some of these unusual miracles for you—unusual favor, unusual healing, unusual promotion, unusual restoration. Nothing is too difficult for our God.

Prayer for Today
Father, thank You for Your compassion and that nothing is too hard for You to work out in my life. Thank You that You work in ways so far beyond anything that I can think or imagine. Help me to hear Your word and simply trust and obey. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”

Be a Blessing

Do not withhold good from those to whom it is due, when it is in your power to act. Proverbs 3:27 NIV

Today’s Word
Today's Scripture says that when you know you can be a blessing, when you have the resources to help a person in need, or when you can teach them the skills you've learned, don't put it off. You may think, "I can't help them. I have to focus on fixing my own problems." But when you make sacrifices to help other people's dreams come to pass, God will always help make your dream come to pass. As you bless others and show them favor, God is going to bless and favor you.

Don't live focused only on yourself--your problems, your sickness, your trouble at work. Go and be a blessing to someone in need. Sow a seed with your finances or a word of encouragement. Go visit your coworker who's in the hospital and pray for them. Call your friend and speak faith into their dreams. Take your elderly neighbor an evening meal. When you help solve their problems, you're setting a miracle in motion for yourself, and God is going to solve your problems.

Prayer for Today
Father, thank You for what You've brought me through that I can now use to help others to solve their problems. Thank You that I have something to give, some blessing to impart, to help make their dreams come true. I believe You will also make my dreams come to pass. In Jesus' Name, Amen

Great Character

Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good. Romans 12:21 NIV

Today’s Word
You don't overcome evil that has been done to you by repaying the person with the same evil they did to you--they hurt you, so you hurt them; they betray you, so you betray them. Not only will you make the problem worse and multiply the conflict, but you'll get stuck where you are. It will keep you from rising higher. When unfair things happen to you, the apostle Paul says to not take revenge, but to leave it in God's hands to repay. That takes a big person, that takes great character, and it's really a test. When you prove to God that you're not bitter, you're not vindictive, you're not holding a grudge, you're big enough to swallow your pride and do good to them, then He knows you're ready to be promoted. He's not going to promote you to pay somebody back. When you're the bigger person, when you are loving even though someone else doesn't deserve it, that's freeing you to go to the next level.

Prayer for Today
Father, thank You that in every way possible, Jesus overcame evil by doing good. Thank You for giving me the grace to overcome evil by doing good as well. Help me to bless those who have done me wrong, to leave them in Your hands, and to believe that You are taking me to new levels. In Jesus' Name, Amen

Keep No Record of Wrongs

Love... does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 1 Corinthians 13:5 NIV

Today's Word
The Bible says that God is love. He doesn’t just have love, He is love. The love we have is an extension of Him. When you invite Jesus to be the Lord of your life, the Bible says that He actually makes His home in your heart. Think about that for a minute. The Creator of the universe, who cannot be contained by anything, chose to make His home on the inside of your heart. That means that perfect love is on the inside of you. First Corinthians 13 tells us what that looks like. When we are walking in God’s love, we are patient. We are kind. Love always forgives. That means choosing to let go of bitterness, hurt and anger. If you have a mental list of all the people who have hurt or offended you, let it go. Let His love work in you and through you today.

Prayer for Today
Heavenly Father, thank You for loving and setting me free. Thank You for choosing to live on the inside of my heart. Show me if I am holding on to unforgiveness in any area so that I can forgive and walk in peace and victory today. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.
