How I lost an opportunity worth over Usd1, 000, 000.
After securing this opportunity, I was so excited that I couldn't keep it to myself. I shared it with a few friends, and they were so happy for me, while at least they appeared to be happy for me!
When the time came to submit a few papers that remained, I was told the entire process had been revisited and a new vendor had been given the opportunity!
It was so depressing, and what was more shocking was that I later realized that it was given to one of my friends who went behind my back to poison me.
He negotiated a deal with an insider so that they could share the profit.
This is a man who was more experienced and better than me; this is the person I looked up to and even told him that we would do the work together!
Only to be stabbed behind my back! There is nothing as painful as betrayal from the person closest to you!
I kept asking God why he allowed that to happen, so slowly God started teaching me the following points I thought I could share with you as you transition to 2024!
You may keep wondering why people are attacking you, even people above your level or those who are even doing better than you.
People are not attacking your current level; they are attacking who you are capable of becoming.
People are more afraid of your capabilities and, hence, will try by all means to block you from becoming that person while you are still weak!
They are scared of your potential!
Everything was going well until Joseph announced his dreams to his brothers.
Everything was going well with David as the shepherd until the prophet Samuel announced David's kingship destiny.
That's when everyone, including King Saul, started plotting to kill him. Remember that King Saul used to call on David to play music for him, and everything was alright until he knew what David was capable of.
Jesus was doing very well until God publicly announced that "this is my son" and the devil's temptations kicked in.
People don't attack results; they attack intentions, but the beauty is that no one can know your intentions unless you tell them.
Therefore, the number of attacks you get in life is directly proportional to the number of plans you make public.
People can't attack what they don't know!
Most of us fail because we talk too much. Avoid announcing good news until everything is sealed because premature announcements attract evil spirits!
Every elevation or success you achieve attracts new devils. Before you announce anything, make sure that you are ready to withstand the attacks that will come along the way.
My own mouth made me lose a million.
