Street and strip bruiser Levert vd Merwe took a humble little Corolla and turned it into a proper racer. We caught up with the legend at the notorious NASREC stretch, made famous by the Boost Night Crew. The 4AGE motor has lived through three different cars, survived a few crashes, rebuilds, and plenty of late night call-outs – and now it’s living its best life with a Holset turbo strapped on. The little 1600 produces a mammoth 470kW!

With TRD-inspired touches, Twincam seats, BBS wheels and Hoosiers out back, this Vantech Auto-built classic isn’t just a looker – it’s already run a mid-10 at Midvaal, and Levert says there’s more to come.
