After almost a year of uncertainty with DStv bowing out after 12 years as headline sponsor, dates getting shuffled, and fans wondering if the fest would survive, Delicious has landed a new headline sponsor: ABSA.
The bank announced on Tuesday that it will be partnering with SABC for the newly minted Absa Delicious Festival.
This comes after the news that the long-standing event is moving off its usual Heritage Weekend slot to Easter weekend, 10 & 11 April 2027, but remaining at Kyalami.
Sadly, there is no lineup drop yet, but word on the street (aka my sources) say headliner announcements are coming early next year.
If history's any indication, expect a big international name. Past years have brought us Ms Lauryn Hill & Wyclef Jean, Burna Boy, Busta Rhymes & Jason Derulo, and Maxwell & Tems.
