23-year-old Koketso Satekge tragically lost her life in Soshanguve, Pretoria on 20 February 2026. Reports say she had gone to collect her clothes after ending her relationship, but sadly the situation turned violent inside the suspect’s home.

The suspect, believed to be her ex-boyfriend, has since been arrested and remains in police custody while authorities continue with investigations.

This heartbreaking loss reminds us that no woman should ever lose her life for choosing to walk away from a relationship. A breakup should never lead to violence. 💔

Our thoughts and prayers go out to Koketso’s family, friends, and everyone who loved her. May they find strength during this incredibly painful time. 🕊️

Witness D, 41, Shot Dead in Brakpan.

General Kekana confirmed last night that a key witness at the Madlanga Commission, who implicated suspended Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Police Department (EMPD) top cop Julius Mkhwanazi and other senior officers in a murder cover-up, has been gunned down in Brakpan.

Witness D, who had expressed fears for his life, testified at the commission about being ordered to dump a body in a dam or mine dump. He also planned to expose an illegal mining syndicate.

He was shot TWICE outside his house, in front of his family and kids. The suspects fled in a Nissan vehicle, traced via cameras. His personal firearm, cellphone, and belongings were untouched.
The Independent Police Investigative Directorate (IPID) has been investigating the body dump case since 2022.

Police have mobilised resources, including forensics and ballistics, to track down the killers.

The shooting comes amid allegations of rot, corruption, and interference in the police and criminal justice system at the Madlanga Commission.
