Witness D, 41, Shot Dead in Brakpan.

General Kekana confirmed last night that a key witness at the Madlanga Commission, who implicated suspended Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Police Department (EMPD) top cop Julius Mkhwanazi and other senior officers in a murder cover-up, has been gunned down in Brakpan.

Witness D, who had expressed fears for his life, testified at the commission about being ordered to dump a body in a dam or mine dump. He also planned to expose an illegal mining syndicate.

He was shot TWICE outside his house, in front of his family and kids. The suspects fled in a Nissan vehicle, traced via cameras. His personal firearm, cellphone, and belongings were untouched.
The Independent Police Investigative Directorate (IPID) has been investigating the body dump case since 2022.

Police have mobilised resources, including forensics and ballistics, to track down the killers.

The shooting comes amid allegations of rot, corruption, and interference in the police and criminal justice system at the Madlanga Commission.

He stabbed her 16 times when she demanded the phone he had robbed her

A young man in this photo is alleged to be responsible for the death of Kholeka Kunene, a 17-year-old girl from Richmond.

Kholeka was reportedly robbed of her cellphone on Saturday, 29 November 2025. The following day, 30 November 2025, she went to the home of the young man who had robbed her, to retrieve her phone. They lived in the area.

Upon arriving there, an incident occurred in which she was attacked. Sadly, Kholeka did not survive and passed away at the scene.

DUDUZA – DISCOVERY OF UNIDENTIFIED BODY

An unidentified male body was discovered in a furrow in Emandebeleni, Duduza. The deceased was found with his feet tied, and it remains unclear what events led to his body being located in the wetland area.

According to initial reports, the victim is believed to be an adult male. SAPS members, along with forensic services, were summoned to the scene to conduct investigations.

Further updates will be provided as more information becomes available.

A 26-year-old woman was shot in the back on Thursday midnight at 3rd Ruth Street in Alexandra.

According to reports, the woman was coming from work at Debonairs Central Park with her sister. She was shot by a man hiding near their residence on Ruth Street. After the woman fell to the ground, the suspect shot her five more times and stabbed her six times with a knife while she lay helpless.

According to her sister, who was with her and uninjured, she fainted. Nothing was taken from them. The two were coming from work, and the incident happened after they were dropped off by staff transport. The deceased is described as the sweetest and most harmless person.

According to the family, the baby's father was also shot and killed in the same spot last year, November 2025, leaving behind three kids. The killer's face was covered. Police are investigating a murder case. The family is requesting assistance to bury their loved one.

6. Report repeated sightings to the police, metro CPF or neighborhood watch.
7. Organise street watch and patrols on Rotation.
8. A visible presence discourages crime. Let's install cameras in most streets.
9. Keep a copy of important documents in a safe place - for quick access after theft or 🔥 fire.
10.Dont let strangers use your phone or enter to "Charge" theirs.
11. Label gates or units clearly - emergency responders should find your home easily.
12. Avoid confronting criminals alone - always call for help first.
13. Talk to children about Online Safety - they should never share personal info or meet strangers. 💯👊
