Thyroid cancer types differ in aggressiveness and treatment outcomes. While some thyroid cancers (like papillary and follicular) have relatively good prognosis, others can be more challenging.

Medullary thyroid cancer (MTC) is considered more aggressive and has a higher risk of spreading. It's often associated with genetic mutations.

Anaplastic thyroid cancer (ATC) is one of the most aggressive and fastest-growing types, with a poorer prognosis.

It's not really accurate to label any cancer as "good." Each type has its unique characteristics, treatment options, and outcomes. Treatment plans are tailored to individual cases, and medical professionals work closely with patients to achieve the best possible results. Knowledge is power because it empowers you to manage health challenges for best possible results

It's easy to get caught in the idea that we need to restrict ourselves, but the truth is, balance is key. Too much of anything can be harmful, even healthy food. The goal is to nourish our bodies, not punish them; by making healthy lifestyle changes and focusing on whole, nutrient-dense foods, you can support your thyroid health and overall well-being.

Prevention is better than cure, and it's better to be safe than sorry. Understand the difference between making lifestyle changes and being on a diet; one is a short-term goal and the other is a long haul.

However, for some people, dietary restrictions are not a choice, but a necessity. Individuals with health conditions like diabetes, thyroid disorders, or food allergies/intolerances need to be mindful of their diet to manage their condition. Even small mistakes can have significant consequences, making it important to stick to their dietary plan.

Even with the best diet and lifestyle, sometimes things won't go as planned. Genetic factors, environmental influences, and other variables can play a huge role. Don't be too hard on yourself...you are not defined by your health journey. You are strong, deserve love and care regardless of your health.

Focus on progress, not perfection and always remember that you are not alone, you've got this.

Too much: thyroid problems, stomach pain, diarrhea...

Did you know there are different types of goiters?

Diffuse goiter (uniform enlargement)
Nodular goiter (lumps in the thyroid)
Toxic goiter (overactive thyroid)
Non-toxic goiter (enlarged thyroid without hyperthyroidism)

How do you know if you're taking too little or too much iodine? Consult a doctor for personalised guidance and they'll order TSH, T4 & T3 tests 🙃

The condition slows down normal muscular contractions of the small intestine, which slows down the movement at partially digested food and digestive juices and that can cause bloating and other digestive symptoms, as well as the set stage for bacterial growth in the small intestine due to trapped food content just sitting there.
