Burnout can feel like a slow leak that turns everything you once loved into “🙄” until the joy’s gone for good.
What it looks like:
Emotionally - you feel empty, like your emotional battery is at 0%, tiny things set you off, you snap more easily (irritated) until you eventually start detaching because you feel “anti‑detached”— like you’re watching life from behind a glass pane, nothing really matters, even the people you love.
Physically you'll have headaches or muscle aches that won’t quit, you sleep like a rock yet still constantly tired and your immune system takes a hit you catch colts more often.
When it comes to performance your focus becomes fuzzy & forgetful (what was I saying…? ), you become less productive; tasks feel like climbing a mountain and eventually you become cynical about work or things you used to enjoy.
All of that creeps up gradually, so it can feel “nothing I can handle” until it’s a full‑blown joy‑vacuum.
🦋 For every task today onwards ask yourself this: “Does this serve me or drain me?” If it drains you then pause, delegate, or drop it.
🦋 Don't forget to exercise or take walks (sometimes solitude is what you need to rejuvenate)
