Our Gents from Stellenbosch has joined together with Kroonstad at Oxford!

Taking part in a week-long convention with learners from the USA, India and Belgium, they are growing in purpose, taking ownership in their calling and making memories that will last forever!

The purpose of the convention is to learn about the use of the Oxford Tutorial Method while studying the theme of Sustainability.

Adult education is often forgotten. Once someone is “out” of school, society quietly moves on. But dreams do not expire. Dignity does not expire. Potential does not expire.

ReMatric SA is in its proving year. We are building systems, partnerships, and a sustainable model, but we cannot do it alone.

We are inviting people to join Friends of ReMatric SA, a community of those who want to journey closely with us. Friends receive updates, prayer points, milestones, and honest reflections from the ground. You can support through encouragement, mentorship, opening doors, prayer, or financial contribution if and when you are able. It is not about pressure. It is about belonging to a story that restores dignity through adult education.

🕊️It is with deep sadness that we inform you of the passing of Ute Braun.🕊️

Ute Braun, born in 1936 in Germany, was unable to complete her high school career. She had to leave school at 16, but found a variety of jobs as secretary and office manager. Many years later, when her husband passed away, she developed a deep longing to finish her school career. She was in her early seventies at the time, but she started with the evening classes in Germany and was able to obtain the German equivalent of matric in 2011.

She had visited Cape Town with friends and fell in love with South Africa and made a bold decision to start a new life in South Africa, displaying an adventurous spirit in her mid seventies! Her new-found love for education led to her enrolling at Stellenbosch University for a degree in politics and sociology despite her advanced age.

Ute was one of the very first supporters of Calling Academy Stellenbosch and already made a donation to the school in 2018, the year that the school opened. If anyone could appreciate the value of education, it was Ute! She wanted others to have the chance that she did not have as a teenager.

Ute visited Calling Academy Stellenbosch and shared with a group of boys how privileged they are to have an opportunity to receive excellent education and that they must make full use of it. What an inspiration!

Sadly, Ute Braun passed away on 10 February 2026, shortly before her 90th birthday. Her life is proof that, if you care, you can live purposefully, even if you were not dealt the best cards in your youth.

Ute, we salute you and will do our best to inspire the same passion for education in our learners that you embodied!❤️💛🩶

✨ The year has started strong, and we couldn’t be more grateful. ✨
We’re celebrating the incredible results of the Class of 2025 — a true reflection of purpose, ownership, discipline, and gratitude. 🙌 These achievements didn’t happen overnight; they are the result of commitment, sacrifice, and a shared belief in doing things the right way, even when no one is watching.

As we step confidently into 2026, our focus remains on the little things that matter most: character, consistency, integrity, and faith. We’re reminded of Luke 16:10:
“Whoever can be trusted with very little can also be trusted with much.”

Day by day, we’re choosing growth over comfort and excellence over excuses, believing that faithfulness in the small things prepares us for greater responsibility and greater impact.
We are deeply grateful for how far God has brought us, and even more excited for where He is leading us next. 🙏

The journey continues, and the best is still ahead.
Here’s to growth, excellence, and lasting impact — together.
