*MEC MAVHUNGU LERULE-RAMAKHANYA EXPRESSES SHOCK FOLLOWING AN ACCIDENT INVOLVING EDUCATORS*
The Department of Education Limpopo has learned with shock and deep sorrow following a head-on collision involving a Toyota Minibus and a Hyundai HMV that has unfortunately claimed the lives of 2 Drivers (M) of the Hyundai and 11 passengers from the Mini bus 9(F) and (2).
10 of the deceased were confirmed as Educators stationed at Capricorn North Education District.
The fatal crash took place on the R521 between Polokwane and Dendron route with multiple injuries and fatalities.
The MEC for Education Limpopo Ms Mavhungu Lerule-Ramakhanya has since expressed her heartfelt condolences to the family, Education community and friends of the accident victims.
"It is with a heavy heart to learn about the untimely deaths of 10 of our departmental workforce who unfortunately lost their lives through a fatal accident on the R521 route between Polokwane and Dendron this morning.We therefore convey our heartfelt condolences to the family and friends of the deceased. This is a great loss to Team Education in Limpopo, " said the MEC.
Our hearts and prayers are with all and sundry who lost their loved ones.
