I once hit a point where I was so broke, embarrassment didn’t even make the list of my problems.

I was away from home, staying with a friend at her family’s house.

Both of us were unemployed, chasing opportunities.

I managed to scrape together some money from a few bookkeeping gigs I used to do.

Bought a few jackets and tried selling them locally.

But here was the problem:

No one knew me.

I had no connections.

And I couldn’t even sell online because I was not exposed and had zero visibility.

That moment taught me an unforgettable lesson:

👉 You can have a great product.

👉 You can have the best intentions.

But if people don’t know who you are, they won’t buy.

That’s when I realized:

Personal branding isn’t a luxury. It’s survival.

The truth is, if no one knows what you do, how you do it, or why it matters, they won’t buy.

That’s why becoming a marketer changed everything for me.

I stopped hiding behind my work and started communicating it.

Here’s what changed:
