Power Outage Notice: 3 December 2024

The public is advised of a planned outage which will interrupt electricity supply on Tuesday, 3 December 2024 from 07.30am to 18.30pm.

The interruption of electricity supply is required to allow eThekwini Water Department to repair a leaking bulk water pipeline. This pipeline is on the same servitude with live medium voltage cables. To execute this work safely, it is necessary to interrupt electricity supply at Sukuma Substation.

The following sections in Umlazi will be affected:

BB; D; F; G; H; J; K; N; P; Z

Customers that are not switched off by 8am can assume that they are not affected by this outage.

During this outage, the public is advised to treat all electrical installations as live.
