Feeling so inspired lately by some seriously incredible women 💫

Last week we had the chance to shoot some gorgeous content for Sarah Feldman’s beautiful fashion brand, and it was honestly such a treat – not just to work with her stunning pieces, but to collaborate with her.

On top of that, we got to be part of a last-minute but totally amazing event celebrating women’s empowerment. So grateful I got to cross paths with Shira Gutnick and Chayale Tzukernik – smart, thoughtful, powerhouse women doing such meaningful work.

Do you like every post you scroll past? Me neither.

That’s exactly why views — not likes, comments, or saves — have become the new social media currency. According to Instagram’s latest best practices (June 2025), views are now the top performance metric, especially for Reels and video content.
Why? Because views signal reach, and reach is the gateway to everything else. You can’t get engagement if people aren’t seeing your content first, which is why Instagram now prioritises content that captures attention, whether or not users engage traditionally.

While likes and comments still matter, they’re now supporting metrics, not the main focus. The new hierarchy looks like this:

🔁 Shares & saves
❤️ Likes & comments

There's been a lot of discourse around AI and how to get the richest outputs, but did you know it comes down to politeness? When using AI, your tone and language structure play a crucial role in shaping the quality of the language model's response.

Users who are polite, patient, and collaborative (and use phrases like 'please') tend to provide more context and detailed instructions. These users converse with their AI in a more human manner, which elicits more engaging, thoughtful, and creative responses, much like how people respond more warmly and helpfully to someone who treats them with respect. In contrast, users who are rude, abrupt, or overly tense in their tone tend to receive short, stripped-down, and functional responses. Prompts that include demands or show impatience can limit the model’s generative range by excluding context or detailed instructions. AI mirrors user expectations based on communication patterns!

These differences reflect broader social psychological truths: people who use respectful language typically have more patience, curiosity, and clarity in thought — all of which contribute to better questions and, in turn, better answers.

I have seen many people sharing a video showing celebrities wearing a derogatory T-shirt toward Kanye West. While the message may seem supportive of the Jewish people, I want to remind everyone that this video is not real.

Although I wish this was an actual campaign standing up against antisemitism, it is AI-generated, and these celebrities have not consented to being shown like this. While the intention behind sharing this might be good, using AI-generated content in activism is problematic for several reasons:

🔹 Misinformation & Credibility – Sharing AI-generated videos blurs the line between fact and fiction. When people spread manipulated media, it weakens the credibility of legitimate advocacy efforts.

🔹 Consent & Ethical Issues – These celebrities did not agree to be in this video. Using their likeness without permission is misleading and raises serious ethical concerns.

🔹 Diluting Real Advocacy— Many real voices are speaking out against antisemitism. When AI-generated content goes viral, it takes attention away from authentic voices that need to be heard.

🔹 Potential Backlash & Harm – If people discover that widely shared videos like this are fake, they can be used to discredit the cause. Antisemitism is already fueled by misinformation and conspiracy theories—fabricated content only adds to this.

🔹 Long-Term Consequences—The more AI-generated content is used in activism, the harder it becomes to distinguish truth from manipulation.

What Kanye West has done is unforgivable and should be condemned by everyone. However, we must be proactive as a community and ensure that what we share is ethical, genuine, and educational. Let’s focus on amplifying authentic voices, activism, and advocacy—because the truth is powerful enough.

If you’re new here, let me introduce our little agency. Before I started this business, I spent a lot of time thinking about its purpose and legacy since the name says it all!

Ladylike Media is inspired by my grandmother, who always told me, "Act like a lady." She was the definition of grace—kind, determined, and deeply rooted in community. As part of an entrepreneurial family that helped shape the Jewish South African community, she believed being a lady wasn’t just about appearances but about character.

Her values of hard work, honesty, and dignity shaped my life and became the heart of Ladylike. Here, we do business like true ladies—gracefully, with empathy, and a dedication to making a positive impact.

Oh, and yes, while we roll up our sleeves to get the work done, you’ll never catch us without a fresh manicure. 💅
