FRIDAY HEARTBEAT WITH CHERYL DOWNING 💕

The Independent Communications Authority of SA known as ICASA acts as a watchdog of the telecommunications, broadcasting and postal industries. The Authority is mandated to regulate radio stations etc.

In order to be in compliance and not run the risk of having our license revoked we at MalutiFM 97.1 will operate within their rules and procedures. One of these being a certain percentage of the English language needs to be broadcast on our frequency.

Cheryl Downing will commence with a brand new English programme on Fridays, called Friday Heartbeat as from Friday 19 March 2021 from 14:00 - 16:00.

A variety in her programme content includes the following:

* Food for Thought
* Riddle
* Did you Know?
* Game of Travels she will feature clues of a town and you guess the town
* Music icon of the day
* What's happening in & around our area the weekend
* Weekend Vibe - 2 in a row upbeat songs to get you in the weekend spirit
