Tweespruit artist carving a name for himself in the music industry

At just 22 years old, Thapelo Mahloko, better known in the music world as Senseii Crxxper, is rapidly carving out a name for himself in South Africa’s music industry—all while proudly representing his township of Tweespruit.
Senseii, an artist, songwriter, and producer, is also the founder of We Bosses Recordz, his independent record label. His journey into music started in 2017, when he and his friends would create tracks at a friend’s house.
What began as a hobby soon turned into a calling.
“I started production in 2019. That’s when I began teaching myself how to make beats and record my own songs,” Senseii recalls.
In 2023, he released his first EP, First of All, produced by C-Matrics Beats. That same year, Mahloko made the bold decision to leave university and focus fully on his music career.
The following year marked a turning point. In 2024, he collaborated with Sannere Music on the debut EP Lumela M’e, and later worked with Cityzeen Ls on two tracks, Ka Koriana Nka Becha and Bophelo. Mahloko cites Flash Cortez as one of his biggest inspirations in pursuing his craft.
Driven to create opportunities not only for himself but for other local talent, Senseii and his label partner, Landon Deej, built a small studio in Tweespruit. Their mission is simple: provide aspiring artists with a space to record without financial burden.
“We want every artist with a dream to record their music without worrying about money. That’s why we’re offering our studio for free,” Mahloko said.
This vision gave birth to 9770 Music Ent., a collective dedicated to showcasing local talent. The group has already released its first collaborative project featuring various artists. Mahloko and his team are also working on a new Lekompo track, set to drop in October or November this year.
Despite the challenges of building a career in the music industry, Senseii remains committed to his dream.
“I want to put my town on the map and become one of the best producers in Africa,” he said with determination.
