One of the award-winning Jazz artists for the 2025 9th Mzantsi Jazz Awards, Salphina Kadiaka, received the Best Jazz Album award for her album Champagne from MoAfrika 'a Mokgathi.

Originally from Limpopo and now based in Lenasia, Salphina is a gifted musician, actress, and songwriter whose sound is sure to keep you captivated and asking for more.

As we get closer to the festive season, it is definitely one of the albums to be on the lookout for.

That mix of tradition and celebration, that mix of Jazz and Khwela, will get you vibing non-stop.

This week we had a meeting with Uj Arts and Culture Centre to explore more opportunities for partnership after a successful 9th Mzantsi Jazz Awards in August and the Inaugural Oral Storytelling Festival in October.
