His discography spans nearly a decade of solid Reggae music in Tshivenda, evolving from early roots tracks and hip-hop collaborations to studio albums, conceptual EPs, and major singles.
Long before the national committee took notice, Ras Canly had completely dominated the regional TSHIMA sector. His first significant win was Song of the Year—a major flex, as it marked the first time in South African music history that a Reggae track won a Song of the Year title.
While global streaming platforms historically see low volume for localised South African reggae, Ras Canly completely dominates the digital space, his digital footprint is larger than the rest of his SAMA32 category nominees combined.
