Hi fellow bo**ers, as most of u know Siargao, home to possibly one of the best boogin waves in the world, Cloud 9, has been completely destroyed by Typhoon Odette. It was one of the scariest ordeals in my life.
Me and 2 other bo**ers own a little cafe called Shaka that overlooks the wave. For the last 10 days we have been running around, gathering relief goods, helping families and doing what we can to help the people.
Yesterday I got to see all my staff and the stories they shared were frightening, with most of them losing everything they owned and have no roof over their heads.
We have set up a gofundme page for assistance to all Shaka staff as they lost all their houses, as well as helping a french bo**er pierre with a genset so they can give free bread to the communities in need, we will contribute to gasoline and gas to keep their operation going. We also want to get involved with a soup kitchen giving free food in 4 areas of Siargao run by friends of ours.
Any donation or any ways of helping will be greatly appreciated to get this island paradise and its people safe with a roof over their heads and food to eat! Those who have been here have experienced the magic of this place and its people.
