These early mornings shaped us without knowing.

They taught us to rise with the light, to find purpose before the world grew loud.

Lets keep grinding

23/05/2026

There is something about firelight on a blanket that takes you all the way home. Not the home you live in now the other one. The one with mud walls and a thatched roof.

We grew up in that warmth. The kind that costs nothing. Falling asleep to the sound of wood cracking in the dark, cowhide under the mattress, the smell of smoke woven into everything our clothes, our hair, our memories. We didn't know we were collecting something precious. We just called it home.

There were no notifications. No noise except the night, the nights felt endless in the best way. Simple does not mean small. We just didn't have the language yet to understand how full we were.

And then life moved. As it does. We chased better, better schools, better cities, better everything. And we got some of it. But somewhere between the WiFi and the rent and the performance of a life that looks good on screen, we find ourselves pausing at videos like this one.

Sitting with a strange ache. Not quite grief. Not quite longing. Something in between.

Maybe we don't have to choose. Maybe the point is to carry the fire with us. To remember that we come from people who needed very little to create something that felt like everything. And to ask ourselves honestly what are we building, and does it feel as warm as that room did?

SURRENDER THE THOUGHT

Often, the thoughts that occupy our minds the longest are the negative ones. Rarely do we find ourselves lingering on the good times, replaying moments of joy or gratitude. This is largely because we are wired for control and the moment we find ourselves in a situation where that control slips away, stress moves in.

Stress, at its core, is the mind’s response to powerlessness. When we sense that something is beyond our grip, our thoughts race to find a way back to certainty. That frantic search is stress. It is not a sign of weakness it is simply the mind doing what it knows.

But in those moments, we are called to something higher: to let go, and to trust the Author of our story to see it through to completion.

Did He not promise “He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus” (Philippians 1:6)? Did He not vow to restore what was taken , “I will repay you for the years the locusts have eaten” (Joel 2:25)?

Worry, then, is not just anxiety it is a quiet form of distrust. It says, “I don’t believe You are enough.”

So today, I challenge you Surrender it all. When a negative thought creeps in, pause just one minute and do something different….PRAY.

Hand it over. Name it, release it, and trust Him with it. Train your mind to do this consistently, and watch what happens to your peace. The storms don’t always stop, but you’ll find yourself standing differently within them.
